Korean pop fans are rejoicing all over the world as BTS’ Jimin becomes the only Korean solo artist to top the Spotify Global Chart with the track Like Crazy. A feat achieved by no other Korean solo artist before, this has made history not just for the band member but for the industry in general. With 6,013,972 streams on March 26, 2023, the song has climbed to the top of the chart, surpassing songs like Flowers by Miley Cyrus and TQG by KAROL G and Shakira.
The artist released his album FACE on March 24, 2023, and has since then been promoting the album on shows like The Tonight Show and has even taken part in little fan-centric videos taking in their excitement for the album. Like Crazy is the lead single from the album and has a full-fledged music video with an insane production value. The album has six songs, including the lead single, Face-Off, Interlude : Dive, Like Crazy, Alone, Set Me Free Pt. 2 and Like Crazy (English Version).

This is not the first time the artist has been in the headlines for doing something iconic. Recently, he was the breaking news when it was announced that his album had sold over a record-breaking 1 million physical copies within 24 hours in Korea. Similarly, BTS band member Jungkook also made Spotify history by becoming the first Korean solo artist to reach 1 billion streams across all his credits. BTS has been the record maker in many ways across the globe and their home country South Korea.
The band has broken records for the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours, being the fastest to reach one million followers on TikTok, the Highest number of Twitter followers for a Korean account and many more. This Korean pop band consists of seven members, Jungkook, SUGA, V, RM, Jin, J-Hope and Jimin.

They made their debut in 2013, but the group was formed in 2010. Since then, they have released many albums and have become record-breaking artists, both together and solo. Currently, the band is on a hiatus due to some members leaving for military enlistment while others are working on some solo music. Artists like J-Hope and RM have released their own solo albums titled Jack in the Box and Indigo, respectively.
Fans have been reacting strongly to this news calling the artist a ‘Record-breaker’ and saying that ‘Father Ended Kpop,’ sometimes all in caps. However, most fans have used the same intensity to share their pride and happiness for this achievement. Fans are also exclaiming how other members of the band are also rising to the top with their tracks and albums. This is just the beginning for the BTS band members, there are more records to break and more history to make.
