The spooky month is about to end but it also means many Halloween parties are on their way. While you think about what character to dress up as this year, we bring you some of the classic horror characters, which always get all the screams and attention, if done right.
Creepy Horror Characters for Halloween 2022
Pennywise (It)
When talking about creepy horror characters for Halloween costumes, Pennywise is one of the names that has to come up. It is the titular main antagonist in Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel It. The character is an ancient, trans-dimensional evil entity which preys upon the children (and sometimes adults).
To look like this evil character all you have to do is either wear a colourful clown costume from the 90s or wear all-white like the 2017 character. For the recent look, wear white, black, or red boots, and glue a red pom-pom to the toe of each. Finish it off with a pair of white or silver gloves, white face paint, a red wig, and red lipstick that you draw in two lines all the way up through your eyebrows.
For the 90s look, after painting your face all white, put on a clown nose and bright-red lipstick and draw on thin eyebrows with black eyeliner. Next, put on a red wig, and white gloves, and give yourself gnarly-looking yellow teeth. Lastly, don’t forget a red balloon or you will look like any other clown.

The Nun of Conjuring
Talking about scary characters, the evil rendition of the Nun is the one to talk about. This character costume is all about black-and-white makeup, glowing bright eye contact lenses and clothes, which you can find very easily. The makeup is the focal point of the costume and one of the easiest to achieve out of all, even if you don’t pull it off exactly, you can still be recognised as the character.

Michael Myers
Michael Myers, also known as the Shape or the Boogeyman, is the main antagonist of the Halloween franchise. He is an emotionless, mute serial killer who, at the age of six, murdered his older sister Judith in cold blood on Halloween night and was incarcerated in a mental institution.
Breaking out fifteen years later, Michael proceeds to stalk and murder the residents of his hometown in Haddonfield, Illinois, almost every year on Halloween night. He is considered to be the embodiment of pure evil and pretty easy to pull off as a costume. All you need to do is find a mask like his face or you can even paint it on your face and wear some mechanic coveralls with a knife in one hand.

Freddy Krueger From Nightmare on Elm Street
Nightmare on Elm Street franchise centres around the fictional character Fred “Freddy” Krueger, the apparition of a former child killer who was burned alive by the vengeful parents of his victims, who returns from the grave to terrorize and kill the teenagers in their dreams, causing their deaths in the real world as well.
The main point of the costume is to create burnt skin. However, even if you can’t find a way to pull off that burnt-up face, you should be good with a striped sweater, a fedora, and those terrifying finger-blade gloves.

Reagen from The Exorcist (1973)
No Halloween is complete without a crazily, believable rendition of Regan, the scary possessed girl from the cult 1973 movie, The Exorcist. With this horror movie character costume, it will be hard for you not to get a few screams out of even the most prepared horror enthusiasts. Make yourself look possessed with bright contacts, a wig, ghoulish makeup, and fake throw-up dribbling from your mouth.

Jigsaw from the Saw
The Jigsaw Killer or simply Jigsaw is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the Saw franchise. To get his look you need a black suit, red handkerchief and bow tie, long-sleeve Shirt, white gloves, and a pair of black dress shoes. You could probably find a mask of the face, but it’s also easy to paint on. It would complete the whole outfit if you can find a squeaky red tricycle.
