Half CA Season 2 Review
TVF is known for their relatable shows that bring forth the hardships of people in their day-to-day lives. Mostly focusing on studies, jobs and normal romantic relationships that we all come across every day, these stories leave a mark on our hearts thanks to their good plot, imperfect characters and fantastic performances. 2023 series Half CA showcases the struggles of aspiring CA students like Archie, Neeraj and millions of other students like them as they try to juggle their lives while cracking one of the most difficult exams of their lives.
The first season, in typical TVF fashion, was a smashing success, and the second season is equally memorable, taking Archie and Neeraj’s struggles forward as they move on to the next phase of becoming a CA. Archie starts an articleship at a smaller firm while Neeraj stumbles upon an ex-girlfriend with whom he had an unceremonious breakup years ago.

Much like the first season, season 2 keeps itself firmly grounded in reality while catering to its audience. It doesn’t try to bring in a plot that is out of the realm of possibilities to satisfy its audience. Rather, there is a reality to the entire narrative that hits too close to home. Season 2 brings out a side of both Neeraj and Archie that was previously only peeking its head out slightly. You will feel some sort of way as they make bad decisions, treat people poorly and are all-out bad human beings sometimes.
However, it’s clear that these people aren’t malicious, and stress has a way of making us lash out unexpectedly. Is there some truth to some of the bad things that we see from these characters? Possibly. They can be rash, selfish and self-centred. But you relate to them regardless because all of us can be like this sometimes. The series does a good job of balancing the different facets of these characters well, so much so that you can’t find it in you to hate them.
Of course, it helps that Ahsaas Channa and Gyanendra Tripathi are fantastic performers and bring their A game to the screen!

Apart from the relatable characters, Half CA Season 2 takes a slight detour and goes down a more romantic route this time around, but it’s interesting how that is used only to bring out Neeraj as a character instead of taking away the entire focus of the story. Everything that happens in the series is a part of a bigger umbrella, and we never lose focus of that story.
I enjoyed the season a lot and found myself relating to most of the situations and feelings being shown. The weight of our future’s immense pressure on our shoulders is a pain that many feel, but most don’t see articulated so well. Half CA does a great job of bringing those feelings to our screen. The anguish, heartbreak, and small victories all come together so organically that it’s hard not to be engrossed in the storytelling.
Final Thoughts

Much like the first season, Half CA Season 2 is enjoyable and thoroughly relatable in every aspect. While you understand Archie’s stress and anxiety, you celebrate with her in her small victories as well. The season is well told and acted, and makes for a great follow-up to the 2023 series.
