In the previous episode, Nanno helped save a guy’s reputation, which was purposely tarnished by a so-called social media influencer who used his fake accounts to gain clout. Little did he know that the more he spread hate about the good guy, the more karma he had to face.

Girl From Nowhere: The Reset Episode 4 Recap
Episode 4 introduces us to a popular university girl named Blossom. She is a streamer with a huge fan following. Many people admire her, given that she empowers women to be confident. She doesn’t explicitly show her body on the stream, but her fans replicate it and post “my boy, my choice.” One day, the university dean calls her and shames her for her act. Blossom, however, stands still in the viewpoint of her choices with her body.

Nanno then comes to the university, and things change. Nanno starts a streaming account named OnlyNanno and tells Blossom that she is her inspiration. Blossom is happy for her in the beginning, but soon realises Nanno has become her competitor. Nanno even removes her shirt on the stream, and her fans bloom more than Blossom’s.
Nanno becomes more popular than Blossom, and the latter feels small. She goes and tells the dean about Nanno being explicit. The dean then scolds Nanno, and she eventually ends her streams. But then, huge donations flood the dean’s account, and this makes Nanno’s stream pop up again. (What the hell?)

Nanno pushes the limits, causing Blossom to do the same actions so she can still be known. However, as Nanno goes to the extreme end, Blossom closes her stream, given she can’t be too explicit. Nanno then organises an event where fans can donate money and win a chance to go on a date with her. Sky wins the date, and they spend the day together. Sky is the mysterious guy whom we saw in the previous episode as well. It’s evident he is the only one who can physically reach Nanno wherever she is.

Sky and Nanno’s pictures are posted, and it causes a ruckus among her fans. Blossom triggers her fans, so they can attack Nanno. But Nanno comes with a new plan, saying that the highest donor can spend a night with her. Blossom complains about this plan to the dean, but he doesn’t bother about it. It is then revealed that the highest donor is the dean himself.
When the boys learn about it, they attack the dean. Things soon turn dark when Nanno tells that all the boys who paid her money are now hers. But then, the boys become furious, and they attack Nanno for her explicitness. Blossom watches this and still doesn’t understand the consequences of objectifying women.

In the end, Blossom still proceeds to do her explicit stream, and the ending leaves us wondering, “What the hell?”
Girl From Nowhere: The Reset Episode 4 Review
This particular episode shifted from the bully-victim pattern and focused on a girl who was actually doing just fine. Initially, she was doing a simple stream with not much explicitness, but just enough to make her words stand strong. But then comes Nanno with a whole different idea, where she removes the dress, invites them on dates, and asks them to spend a night with her.

The ending is actually quite dark, particularly when the boys reveal their true nature and treat Nanno like an object. It also makes one wonder if Blossom’s idea of empowerment was genuine or if she just needed to appear empowered. Nanno’s behaviour also appears to teach a harsh lesson, but it is not as clear or satisfying as the previous episodes. Blossom also did not learn much from the experience, which makes the episode somewhat unusual.
