Eric on Netflix: Everything to Know About Benedict Cumberbatch’s Drama Series

Fans of Benedict Cumberbatch will be left giddy to know that the talented actor is all set to release a tense and thrilling Limited Series on Netflix, called Eric, which will make all of our emotions bubble to the surface. Netflix’s latest roster of drama-thrillers is nothing short of fantastic, with different flavours coming out through one title itself! Thus, viewers who enjoy getting a little bit of everything on their platter are sure to be left intently glued to their screens this time around as well.

Taking place in the bustling and vibrant world of ’80s New York, Eric showcases a man’s struggle to find his missing son. When 9-year-old Edgar disappears on his way to school one fine morning, popular puppeteer and creator of a leading children’s show Vincent slowly loses his sanity as he tries to desperately find a way to find him. As he grapples with the guilt of losing his son, he alienates those around him, including his family and the detective who is on the case. However, the only thing that seems to give him comfort is Eric, a drawing of a puppet by Edgar.

Convinced that he will find his son if he can get Eric on air, Vincent gets progressively delusional and volatile but as others leave his side, it’s Eric who becomes his only ally in his upward battle to find his son.

BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Abi Morgan brings us this emotional thriller limited series that is directed by Lucy Forbes. The 6-episode series stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffmann, McKinley Belcher III, Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, David Denman, Jeff Hephner, Bamar Kane, Ivan Morris Howe, Wade Allain-Marcus and others.

Eric Release Date and Time

The series is all set to release on Netflix on May 30, 2024, at 12.30 PM IST.
