Dahaad Ending Explained: The Prime Video series starring Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma and Sohum Shah has received immense praise. The critics and viewers are impressed with the story and performances. Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi have co-directed the crime thriller. It is produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films. There are 8 episodes with a runtime of an hour at least.
Vijay Varma is back to creep out people again with another negative character. He plays serial killer Anand Swarnakar, whereas Sonakshi, Gulshan and Sohum are seen as cops Anjali Bhaati, Devi Lal Singh and Kailash Parghi, respectively.
In Prime Video’s Dahaad, the cops initially struggle to connect the dots of many missing girls. They are confident these girls have not died by suicide, but someone is killing them for pleasure. Anjali is certain that Anand is the killer. But she doesn’t have enough proof to expose his crimes. Anand is smooth with his ruthless killing and leaves no clue behind. But do the cops succeed in the end and get hold of Anand? Read on.

Anjali, Devi and Kailash finally understand Anand Swarnakar’s pattern of killing. He uses fake identities to talk to girls from financially backward or underprivileged classes/castes. Anand lures them to meet him, gets into a physical relationship, asks them to take a birth control pill the next day, and the girls end up dead in a public washroom. Anand adds a layer of Cyanide to these pills to make the deaths look like suicide.
In the last episode, Anand Swarnakar finally meets Miriam in Goa, with whom he has been chatting online as Richard. The duo gets married. Anand ensures Miriam loses her phone, so she fails to contact her friends. In Mandawa, Anjali and Devi investigate and learn how Anand has been chatting with a girl online. They finally find out that it’s a girl name Miriam and trace down her location and find out everything from her roommate.
The cops wait for some activity in Miriam’s bank account so that they can locate Anand and her. Meanwhile, in Goa, Anand finds a new victim, a nurse named Renuka. Thankfully, Miriam uses her bank account for money, and the cops track them down. Miriam is alone as Anand lies to her about going out for work. Anjali tells Miriam everything about Anand and how he has killed 29 women.

Dahaad Ending Explained: Why Was Anand Swarnakar Killing These Women? Was He Caught?
The police successfully find out the hotel where Anand is with Renuka. They save her life and arrest Anand. In the last few minutes, we finally get our answer – Why has Anand Swarnakar been on a killing spree of random women for so many years? Cop Anjali Bhaati asks him why he murdered all those women. Well, Anand’s explanation is something one can easily expect from a problematic and horrible man like him.
Anand Swarnakar tells Anjali that these women flirted with a stranger like him, eloped and slept with him on the first meet. They were characterless and hence, deserved to be punished (killed). He believes that men and women can never be equal and questions Anjali Bhaati’s character. Anand tells Anjali that he knows how she gazes at her married boss (Devi Lal Singh). Bhaati can’t stand Swarnakar’s nonsense anymore and walks away.
The series ends with Anjali Bhaati taking back her original surname, ‘Meghwal’. She completely accepts her identity and walks with pride on her face.

Sonakshi did a fabulous job here. Every girl of India should think like her today. Other actors also performed very well. Moreover, direction was superb.
