Climax Episode 7 Recap

Today’s episode opens with Tae-seop gaining massive public support as a presidential candidate, quickly turning into a serious contender with real chances of winning. His growing influence and ability to win people over make him a force in the political race. At the same time, Sang-ah lands a film role. This marks a major step forward in her career, but the excitement is short-lived. Yang-mi continues to create problems for both of them, using her influence to limit their opportunities. Her production company makes it clear that Tae-seop and Sang-ah are no longer in their good books. As a result, both are forced to navigate a tense situation where their ambitions are constantly at risk.

Thus, to counter her influence, Tae-seop goes to Yang-mi’s ex-husband and joins hands with him. On the other hand, Sang-ah decided to talk to Yang-mi directly to solve the issue. Believing that reaching out to Yang-mi’s ex might fix his situation, he only makes things worse, especially after he asks Sang-ah to sleep with him, prompting Tae-seop to step in and attack him. In turn, he also gets thrashed by his bodyguards, and he tells himself to get a grip. After this, he sheds his pride and becomes an absolute sucker for the ex’s attention. He completely makes a joke out of himself so that he gets noticed, and that is how he gets Yang-mi’s former husband’s approval.

Something else happens with Sang-ah, who is now replaced by Jeong-won in a movie. This was an unexpected move as she did not think she would be recast so easily by WR. Yang-mi again reached out to Tae-seop and told him to work for her so that she wouldn’t have to involve his wife in the rivalry. Sang-ah meets up with Tae-seop to discuss their further plan, and here she tells him how it is regrettable that he cannot use her fame to help his election. Thus, to help him out, just decided to meet with Yang-mi.

She tells Yang-mi that if she gives her the movie, she will help her get her husband. She will bring Tae-seop in to help Yang-mi. And it happens exactly how she predicted, and Sang-ah manages to become the face of WR. This obviously helped Tae-seop secure a lot of popularity, as well. Sang-ah also helped Tae-seop in his election campaign. It becomes clear that even though they might not love each other as lovers, they definitely know how to utilise each other to reach the top. Yang-mi even comes to the campaign and looks at the couple, whom she has finally decided to back.

Today’s episode was interesting because it had some wild twists and turns. I’m still not understanding what the end result is going to be. Will this unlikely couple be able to actually succeed in their lives, or will they fail miserably and never recover from their position ever again?

The way their dynamic keeps shifting between strategy and survival makes it hard to predict their next move.
