Climax Episode 6 Recap

This episode begins with Sang-ah meeting with Jae-sang and her trying to ask for forgiveness. She pulls off a stellar performance, acting as if she regrets everything that she did and even cries in front of him. But she makes one mistake when she mentions the recording in front of him. He realises that she asked for forgiveness just for that recording, and she drops the act after realising it is pointless to talk to him. This makes Jae-sang very angry at her, and he literally chokes her with the intention of killing her. People were nearby recording this video, which they later leaked on the internet, and it was seen by Tae-seop.
Tae-seop meets Jeong-won and tells her to stay away from him and Sang-ah. On the other hand, we get to see that the chairman is hospitalised and because of this, his son literally thanks Tae-seop for giving him that heart attack. He also lets Tae-seop know that now that his father is dying, he doesn’t need him anymore. The situation is dire for Yang-mi because if the chairman dies without altering his will, she will lose everything that she owns. The situation further escalates when it is decided that Tae-seop will not be selected as a presidential candidate before going through a full-on background check.

On the other hand, after the video of Sang-ah getting choked gets viral, everybody starts supporting the assailant rather than her. In such a bad position, Tae-seop gets a call from Sang-ah, who clearly states that both of them are the same kind of people who are hypocrites in their own ways. Tae-seop also reassures her that he will handle everything from his end. But here, something far more twisted happens as Sang-ah tries to commit suicide and leaves a note for Jeong-won. Here, she becomes the only person whom Sang-ah thanks for treating her warmly.
Later, we see Jae-sang getting taken out as well. Both Tae-seop and Sang-ah finally have a conversation where they discuss their future and what they can do to survive. Thus, they start planning how they can flip public opinion about themselves. They make a huge show of Sang-ah’s situation and hold a press conference. There, Sang-ah claims that she tried everything in her power to have a friendly relationship with Jae-sang, but he still came at her with violence. Towards the end, we get a hint that the killer of Jae-sang might be Jeong-won.

Climax Episode 6 Review
This episode was again pretty good, but at the same time, it did not resolve many of the issues or give answers to the questions that the series had raised before. Now we will have to see what the couple would choose to do next. I am definitely very interested to see what their ultimate goal will be.
