Climax Episode 2 Recap

Climax Episode 2 Review
Climax Episode 2 Review: Ha Ji-won

This episode begins with Tae-seop catching the new actor from Sang-ah’s agency with Hye-hoon, the mayor. He then goes to Yang-mi to blackmail her into leaving his wife alone. Tae-seop tells her that if she ever disturbs his wife, he will release the video. This proves that Tae-seop is actually very much in love with Sang-ah, but there is also some secret about their past that might create problems. When Yang-mi tells Tae-seop that Jae-sang is getting out of jail, Tae-seop becomes silent. Apparently, this is something that Tae-seop does not like. Sang-ah and Jae-sang used to be pretty close, and he actually wrote letters to her very often.

But then, later, Tae-seop asks his wife whether this is true or not, and she completely denies it. Not only that, but she was also seen burning his letters, which eventually got found out by her husband. This shows how both the husband and wife do not trust each other, even though they love each other, which is a very confusing situation for them. We also get to know that a murder was involved in this whole fiasco.

Following the revelation, Tae-seop makes his informer infiltrate Sang-ah’s film set as her body double. Not only that, but he also keeps a tab on his wife’s every move, from tracking her phone records to investigating whom she meets. We also get to see later that Jae-sang actually called her, and this gets heard by Tae-seop. But everything falls apart when Tae-seop actually releases the video he took of the mayor. Because of this, Sang-ah also faced a lot of issues, and she confronted her husband about it. The issue between them becomes so severe that Sang-ah even threatens Tae-seop that she will leave him.

Here, we also see that Tae-seop had the rookie actor act like the victim and clear his wife’s name from the controversy. He then addressed the press himself and exposed the corruption behind the mayor’s success. This made him a heroic figure in front of everyone else. After this, Sang-ah goes to talk to Yang-mi, who completely insults her, ruining her chance to get a role anymore. On the other hand, her husband has become a public figure because of all the fame he got through this stint.

After this, we see Sang-ah becoming very desperate about her situation and thinking about what she can do now for herself. She knows that Yang-mi will always have the upper hand over her if she doesn’t do anything and just accepts the abuse she throws her way. This is why she goes to meet someone, and this becomes a major twist in the end. It is none other than the chairman who is also Yang-mi’s husband. We do not know why she entered his car or what her intentions are with him. But what we do know is that her husband knows everything.

Climax Episode 2 Review

This was another really good episode that completely held my attention till the end. The mystery is thickening, and all the flawed characters are showcasing to what extent they can go to secure power. The actors are also doing a phenomenal job in their acting.
