Change Days season 2 episode 12 starts with a shocking revelation from the hosts – that barring two people, everyone else has thought of breaking up while on the trip.

We then go back to the Overnight Date and things look rather warm and fuzzy – some would even say a bit too warm and fuzzy. It would’ve been cute had they not had partners already. Right now, things just seem a bit dangerous since they are their ideal types and now they are locked in one small space.

The pictures, obviously, don’t help and the moment the contestants come out of the bubble, you can see it on their faces – reality has come back to bite them where it hurts. The Overnight Date definitely changed a lot of things for many of the participants – it’s heartening watching Ji-yu take control of her life, at least a little bit.

Anyway, drama comes back to the participants as they have to anonymously answer whether they have thought about leaving their partners while on the trip and not so surprisingly to the audience, 6 people answer that they have thought about breaking up with their spouses. However, the two who answer negatively are a surprising couple. The atmosphere is awkward after the announcement.

Later on, it’s time for dinner with same-sex participants, and if The Ultimatum has taught us anything, it’s that going on dinners with the people who have gone on dates with your partner is a bad idea, especially when there is alcohol involved.

And it doesn’t – the conversation among the women is rather tense and uncomfortable with them discussing how their boyfriends are on their dates. Man, it’s so passive-aggressive, especially Hui-hyeon, who says the weirdest things that can make anyone want to run away. The men’s night out isn’t any better, but they at least laugh a little about it.

In the end, the last scene proves to be some sort of a contest among the participants as they subtly ask their peers to keep their distance from their spouses and not go overboard with the dating.

Still From Change Days Season 2 Episode 12

Change Days season 2 episode 12 has tons going on in its runtime with two couples coming back from the night out, the hosts declaring how many people have decided to break up and the dinner that night. It’s tense and uncomfortable and fun to watch for the audience. Although most are thinking about dumping their partners, no one wants the ones in the room laying claim to their partners.

It’s an interesting episode because you see some of the most basic and petty habits of human beings that are commonplace. However, when you see it unfold before you, you can’t help but wonder why someone would do this. For example, Hye-yeon being upset about the dishes seems rather silly, but you’d be surprised how many people would get upset in a similar situation.

It’s an interesting and entertaining episode for sure, but in spite of it all, the drama has gone down a notch and maybe staying in separate rooms would solve that predicament!

Change Days is streaming on Netflix.
