Barbie The Album Artists Lineup (2023): Dua Lipa, Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj, FIFTY FIFTY and More

All the fans waiting for Greta Gerwig to release her magnum opus have just received fantastic news. Barbie The Album will be coming soon, and the lineup for that is so crazy that most people cannot even believe it is happening. This film is written by Gerwig and Noah Baumbach and stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Hellen Mirren, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Alexandra Shipp, Kate McKinnon, Dua Lipa, Scott Evans, Nicola Coughlan and Ritu Arya, alongside other cast members.

While the cast list is already impeccably impressive, Barbie The Album artists lineup is even crazier. Artists like Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FIFTY FIFTY, GAYLE, HAIM, Ice Spice, Kali, KAROL G, Khalid, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Pink Pantheress, Ryan Gosling, Tame Impala and The Kid LAROI are confirmed to be featured on the album. It has also been shared that Mark Ronson (perhaps Uptown Funk may jog memories) has been serving as the executive music producer for the film.

What’s amazing is that the poster has also confirmed that more Barbies and Kens will be announced soon. Previously, the official Instagram page of the album had also shared that Dua Lipa’s single will be coming out this Friday. It is titled Dance the Night, and the song’s teaser has already given people the chills the trailer originally gave. When the artist stepped out of the show with the signature standing-on-the-toes thing, people were already convinced that this would be a project with style and pizzazz.

People are incredibly excited about the film because of the way the actors and the surrounding crew members have been talking about it. Internet patrons have taken to writing jokes and putting up memes, but most of all, they have taken to speculating what the film might bring to the fore. The trailer shows us Barbie in Barbieland with Ken (the Ryan Gosling one). The two of them are together as Girlfriend-Boyfriend. We soon see them leave this world and go to the real one with Mattel, the creator of the original Barbie, and we see the story happen right there.

The film is expected to sit right at the junction of celebration and absurdity, with the themes it plans to explore. Since this is a Greta Gerwig project, it must be expected that there will be some subversive humour and a deep-rooted social construct upended with the writing and the cinematography.
