Baramulla Ending Explained
The film opens with a young boy disappearing during a magic trick in front of a huge crowd, leaving the police to call DSP Ridwaan Sayyed to investigate. As several children have gone missing in a similar fashion over the last couple of months, things have become serious, but Sayyad is told that this is an open-and-shut case, and the perpetrator is the magician.
Meanwhile, at home, things start to get creepy as his daughter, Noorie, and son Ayaan start to see mysterious apparitions in their new home, but no one wants to believe them. While investigating a closed-off section of the house following their househelp, Iqbaal, Noorie sees something shocking and soon disappears, leaving Ridwaan and his wife, Gulnaar, completely heartbroken and desperate.

All of these disappearances soon start to seem connected as Gulnaar sees an apparition that Noorie had previously talked about and follows Iqbaal to the same area, where she learns that there is something in the house that is creating all of these situations. She tries to convince Ridwaan, but he is adamant that the perpetrator is Khalid, a member of an extremist group who has been recruiting young children, including their daughter, into their cause.
Based on a tip, Ridwaan follows the latest victim, a young boy from Noorie’s school, from being abducted, but sees him getting sucked into the void first-hand, converting him into a believer. He and Gulnaar arrive at the house to meet this entity face-to-face, who talks to them through Ayaan and tells them the truth about the situation they have found themselves.
What is the truth behind the house?

The entity, through Ayaan, tells them that years ago, a Kashmiri Pandit family stayed in the house, who were murdered by a crowd of extremists who wanted to convert Kashmir into a Muslim state. Among them was young Eela Sapru, her mother Mansi Sapru, her father Kamalanand and their dog. Everyone was brutally murdered at the hands of the militants thanks to one of Eela’s friends betraying them and giving away their location.
The entities, thus, are trying to find similar young children from turning into extremists and taking them away before the militants can get their hands on them. As we later learn, the militants have been trying to recruit young kids in Kashmir, but haven’t been successful in sending them to Pakistan yet. Thus, we see that the entities were actually protecting the children by stopping them from making a terrible mistake.
Who is the elusive boss?

Throughout the film, we see Khalid and Junaid talking to someone elusive who is taking all the shots and commanding them around. Ridwaan desperately tries to find them, but no one knows their identity. In the climax, as Ridwaan and the police fight against Junaid and his men, Gulnaar, possessed by Mansi, shoots both Zainab and Junaid during a hostage situation. At first, everyone is shocked, but eventually, when Ridwaan calls the boss from Junaid’s phone, it is revealed that Zainab was the boss all along and has been playing all of them since the beginning.
It is also revealed that Zainab was the young girl who betrayed Eela and killed the entire family as she, too, had been brainwashed by the extremists. This is proven by the scar that Zainab has on her forehead.

Does Ridwaan save Noorie?
After Zainab is killed, all the children, including Noorie, are released, and they all return home safe and sound.
