Bigg Boss 20 Episode 34 had a little bit of everything: a captaincy decision on the shoulders of a single housemate that left Kanika Mann fuming, Love Gill struggling to put herself first, and Qazi Touqeer finding a new best friend in a tiger dummy, Taskar.
The Bigg Boss house secured a 25% ration for the week as Love Gill selected Aasif Khan to be the captain, while Scout questioned her ranking and housemates turned a harmless prank into a late-night commotion.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 34: Aasif Khan Becomes the Captain After Love Gill’s Ranking
Love Gill was handed the power to choose the next captain, but Bigg Boss, sticking to its core, was not going to let her make that decision without adding a little complication. Before the selection process, Love had to rank the seven “davedar” according to her preference.
She placed herself in first place, followed by Yung DSA, ScoutOP, Arishfa Khan, Aasif Khan at number five, Uditi Singh at six and finally Kanika Mann at seven. Once Love made her choices, the other housemates were asked to leave Room Number 20. She was then instructed to remove the black stickers placed in front of each rank.
The housemates were currently at 0% ration for the week, and this came as their chance to secure some for the week. The ration percentages increased with each decreasing rank: rank one meant 0% ration, ranks two to four gave 10% ration each, while ranks 5 and 6 offered 25% ration, and finally rank seven offered 35%. The percentage attached to the rank of the housemate selected as captain would determine the ration available to the house for the week.
Love ultimately chose Aasif Khan as the captain, securing a 25% ration for the house this week.
Kanika Mann Questions Love Gill’s Decision
Kanika Mann did not seem pleased with the decision, given that she was ranked in seventh position; she carried the highest percentage of ration: 35%. Aasif, on the other hand, was ranked fifth, which meant the house would now receive only 25% ration by this selection.
Kanika’s obvious question was why Love did not choose her instead and secure more ration. The decision appeared to reopen the doors to a familiar issue, and Love defended her decision by explaining that she wanted a captain who treated everyone with equal respect and did not judge people based on their looks. Amrapali Dubey was also seen defending Love on the same.
Face Becomes A Talking Point… Again.
The topic of “face” seemed to be refusing to leave the house. The housemates woke up to the song Nagada Nagada from Jab We Met playing as the wake-up song. Amrapali was seen telling Love that the word “roop” in the song was meant for her. Later, Love asked Kanika how she looked, explaining that she had done her makeup because she wanted to give Kanika something for her birthday.
Kanika’s response was that she was used to receiving good gifts. The exchange was a follow-up to yesterday’s argument when Kanika commented on Love’s face. It was a brief exchange, but the episode’s later argument gave the earlier conversation its depth. When Kanika questioned Love’s decision to choose Aasif over her, Love’s explanation again came back to the idea of not judging people by their faces.
Qazi’s Best Friend “Taskar” Turns Into House’s New Obsession
Qazi Touqeer appeared to have found himself a new companion, and no, it was not a housemate!
Meet “Taskar”, Qazi’s little tiger friend. Yes, a tiger dummy kept in the garden area was named Taskar by Qazi, and he began carrying it around almost everywhere. His attachment to the new friend was serious enough that he even took Taskar along to the medical room and, in fact, later, kept him in a washroom. The housemates now could not resist messing with him.
Arishfa Khan, Aman Gandhi and Uditi Singh were seen playfully stealing Taskar and hiding it while Qazi eventually found it, but that did not put a full stop to the mischief. As the lights went off and most of the housemates were asleep, the Taskar mischief continued. Some housemates were seen talking and giggling about the tiger. Qazi placed it beside his bed.
When Qazi stepped away, Yung DSA attempted to hide it, only to find that it was tied to the bedsheet. The result was rather unexpected! The entire bedsheet came off, and Qazi returned to the chaos. With the commotion, other housemates woke, and the situation quickly became chaotic. Love Gill asked everyone to stop because she was repeatedly being disturbed in her sleep. Mahhi Vij and Amrapali Dubey also objected to the noise, while captain Aasif Khan stepped in to take charge and calm things down.
Ostrich Joins Taskar
The tiger saga did not end there. Later, when the housemates were taken out, Love untied the dummy and hid it, but the problem was Qazi’s silver chain attached to it. When Qazi began looking for it, he became visibly worried, and Uditi quickly informed Amrapali and Love, who removed the chain and kept it on Qazi’s bed. Aasif eventually returned it to Qazi, but the dummy remained with Love.
The episode showed how quickly a playful prank can become uncomfortable when the person at the centre stops finding it funny.
Gullu then came up with another idea and brought the ostrich into the picture. The two housemates took the dummy ostrich from the poolside along with its dummy eggs to the bedroom and kept it as the new companion. Now, Taskar seems to have a friend, as Love Gill kept it back at the place. With the dummy tiger causing enough commotion for a night, the housemates now have another creature.
Love Gill Breaks Down
Behind the ration drama and midnight chaos, Love was also struggling with the consequences of her own decision. After making the rankings and choosing the captain, she broke down, expressing her frustration at being unable to do anything for herself. She had been given the power to choose but could not choose herself, and in fact, Scout questioned her priorities.
Scout’s demand to know everyone’s priority list added another layer to the situation. In a house where alliances, friendships and personal equations are constantly under scrutiny, being ranked by someone at a rank you did not expect might perhaps question the alliance and friendship itself.
Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 34: A Captain, A Ration Crisis And Taskar
This episode of Bigg Boss 20 had a fairly straightforward central conflict with Love choosing a captain, and her decision exposing tensions already simmering among the housemates. The ration twist made the ranking more consequential, while Kanika and Scout’s objections ensured that conversations did not receive an end with Aasif being appointed.
Aasif’s first task as a captain was also an unexpected one as he stepped in to settle the “Taskar” chaos of the midnight and return Qazi’s silver chain. The episode’s lighter moments added a few stars to the episode, making it the highlight of episode 34.
Love’s emotional struggle gave the captaincy task a personal dimension. Sometimes, the most revealing part of a reality show task is not who wins but how people react to the decision made when they are not the one selected.
With Aasif now crowned as the captain of the house, going to be surviving on a 25% ration, the next few days could bring fresh disagreements over food, fairness and even arguments from twenty days back. Also, if “Taskar” has taught us anything, it is that peace in the Bigg Boss house can be disrupted by anything, even a little tiger that cannot even roar!
