The episode opens with Akane piecing together a crucial truth about Aqua’s past. As she connects the dots, she realizes that Aqua’s father is most likely Hikaru Kamiki, the same man who once performed in the same theater troupe as Ai. The more evidence she uncovers, the more convinced she becomes that she’s right. But what truly unsettles her isn’t just the revelation itself, it’s what it could mean for Aqua. Instead of leaving the matter in his hands, Akane quietly resolves to deal with Hikaru herself, believing she must protect Aqua at any cost.

Meanwhile, Aqua reaches out to Akane with a rare moment of vulnerability. He wonders aloud whether he should continue living for revenge or finally let go and move forward. Rather than steering him in either direction, Akane tells him that the choice is his alone. Whatever he decides, she promises to stand by him. In that moment, Aqua gains something he desperately needs: a steady source of emotional support.

Kana, on the other hand, finds herself struggling on multiple fronts. Professionally, she feels overshadowed, especially as Ruby begins attracting more attention. Personally, she’s hurt by the growing distance between her and Aqua, questioning whether he ever truly cared for her. The combination of jealousy, insecurity, and career anxiety pushes her into making a risky decision. Through a senior connection, she reaches out to a director in hopes of securing more work. Unfortunately, this opportunity quickly turns into something far more troubling.

This episode begins with a dark commentary from Ruby, who highlights just how difficult it is for idols to find love while staying in the entertainment industry. She highlights how most of the idols would secretly date but try to pretend as if they do not because they care about their own careers. If word of their affairs or relationships becomes public, they are readily dismissed online, and their future in the industry is almost over at that point. She also mentions how most of the time scandals are caused by insiders who leak information to others. And something like that exactly happens with Kana, whose own senior effectively traps her.

Mem realises that there is something bad going on with Kana, who looks miserable every day. She goes to ask Aqua for help, who straight out denies because he believes he will not be able to do a half-hearted job and back out later from caring for her. He doesn’t want to get involved with Kana when he knows that he will not be able to stay with her.

Because of her earlier actions, Kana also landed herself in a grave situation. At first, Kana becomes intimidated and even scared of what will happen in the future. But finally, she emerges victorious from her own negative thoughts without anyone’s help, proving just how strong she already is. Towards the end of this episode, I also get the feeling that Aqua is very much in love with Kana, but is afraid that he will only be a burden to her and nothing else.

I like today’s episode, but I would have also preferred a bit more of the story here. I wish to know what would actually happen with Kana, and it is frustrating that I’ll have to wait until next week to know about it.
