This episode kicks off with a focus on Maido, the devoted maid who missed out on alone time with her new boyfriend, Rentaro, in the last episode. To make up for it, Hahari tasks her with spending the day by his side so they can grow closer. Right away, both Rentaro and the audience realize that Maido’s entire mindset revolves around following orders. Her unwavering loyalty defines her, and she thrives on receiving instructions from those she serves and cherishes.

The episode takes an emotional turn as we dive into Maido’s past, revealing how Hahari took her in after she was abandoned. From that moment on, Maido has seen Hahari as her ultimate master, dedicating herself completely to her. However, Rentaro steps in with his signature charm, encouraging Maido to see her own worth and appreciate herself more.

Things take a more playful and slightly chaotic turn in the next segment, where the entire group gets involved in a water gun battle. Though it seems like innocent fun, it’s clear that Hahari’s mischievous mind had a different motivation for setting it up. Despite the lighthearted nature of the game, it also reveals who among them excels in stealth and combat skills. Maido, despite her gentle demeanour, proves she has the precision and agility of an assassin.

Apparently, we have gone too long without a new addition to the Aijou household because here we have the 9th girlfriend. The episode begins with a very important trouble that is plaguing all the girlfriends. Remember the food competition where everyone chomped down on whatever they could get their hands on? Well, the result of it, is that everyone got a few extra pounds on them. However, because they left Aijou alone for a moment, he managed to meet his 9th girlfriend, who is another very interesting addition.

Iku consistently stood at the front gates of the school and tried to appoint members for her girl’s baseball team. This is also where she glances at our hero, and as usual, both fall in love. Aijou, after learning how if she does not appoint eight more members to her team right away, she can lose her team, promises to help her out. And this is how their love story begins.

Iku has a fascinating mix of characteristics. On one hand, she is very tomboyish and uses the masculine ‘boku’ to address herself, but on the other hand, she is also a huge masochist. She literally asks the other girls to welcome her by beating her bottom with a bat. Her interaction with the whole group at the baseball practice session was absolutely hilarious, as the most random thing was happening on the field.

It is always a delight to see the characters playfully poke fun at their own show’s tropes. I still do not know why Aijou suddenly thought it would be great to strip down when he wanted to help Iku at her night practice. Maybe we will never know the answer to it.

For me, this episode was, again, an absolute treat. The way this show uses erotic elements to evoke comedy is praiseworthy. The voice actors also do a phenomenal job as they make the wildest and wackiest sounds ever.
