Subteran Ending Explained
The show begins with Cami’s fiance Luca getting a tip from his informant Marius about a laptop that contains the cryptocurrency and documents related to criminal lord Tanase. These files contain names and information about many personnel which can shake the country if ever released. This lures Luca into getting the laptop, however, things take a turn when Tanase’s daughter Tili interrupts their meeting and kills the two.
Cami is shattered upon knowing this and later visits Luca’s apartment, however, there she meets Marius who is here with Tili’s twin sister Chrisi. Thinking Chrisi is the one who killed Luca, she is angered and when the two get into a brawl, she shoots Chrisi with a bullet, killing her on the spot. Left with no choice, Marius tells Cami that she will need to pretend to be dead as he puts Chrisi’s corpse in Cami’s car and burns it.
Soon, Cami has no choice but to go undercover and stay away from her son and mother for their safety. She then takes up the name Sonia and infiltrates the criminal gang, assuring them to crack the encryption in the laptop and get them their money. But soon, her identity is exposed and her family is in danger. And with Tili finding out what they did to Chrisi, she now has to abide by their rules to save her son Matei.

How Does Cami Save Matei?
Cami promises Tanase that she will help them get the money from the laptop in their hand in exchange for her son’s life. After she escapes police custody and reaches the place where Tanase is making an important drug deal, she rushes to get the money from the laptop. After the money is handed over to the other party who soon leave, Cami asks for her son. However, Tanase is not ready to let her go so easily after finding out what she did to his daughter.
he is ready to kill Matei when Cami tells him that if she dies he will never get his money because when she was hacking into the computer, she made sure to hack all their bank accounts. Now, if she or her son dies, they will never get their money because only she can give it back to them. A tense atmosphere then surrounds the room as Tanase turns to his daughter who is getting irritated by Cami’s actions. He confronts how his daughter is not angry for him but by how Cami’s actions have pulled the money out of her hands which was going to get her away from her father.
As the father-daughter duo’s confrontation gets tense, a bullet is shot and Tanase falls to the ground. Hearing this, the police outside rush in and catch Cami while Tili takes her son with her. Meanwhile, even Marius is arrested and taken with her into custody. However, they are soon saved as the officer working for Tili is told to let them go. Soon, Cami gets a message from Tili who asks her to come to a location where she tries to get the money from her.

But once again, chaos erupts in the house as the duo gets into a brawl with Tili and Dracu during which Tili ends up shooting Dracu by mistake. Finally, Cami is once again pushed back and Tili demands the money but this time Cami tells her that she can get the money but the files on the laptop that can expose their whole circle are still in her hands. If she dies the files will reach Interpol without any delay and so she tells Tili to let her go and live her life while Tili lives her life.
Knowing the seriousness of the situation Tili agrees and soon gets the money after which she takes over Tanase’s empire while Cami goes back home with her son.
Does Tanase’s Rule Come to an End?
During the chaos after the deal when Cami is caught by the police, Tanase is still on the floor due to the bullet shot by his daughter. He too is taken under police custody and is forced by his daughter and their police connection to give up his power and get arrested. Left with no choice, he does as said, but while his reign comes to an end, Tili takes up the mantle.
She continues business as usual with all their connections and now sits on her father’s throne. Thus, the ruler only changes, but the rule continues as usual.
What Happens to Marius?
Marius gets back his identity as Roman, a cop who was thrown out when he went against Tanase. He is no longer undercover, but his goal of exposing all those connected to Tanase is never achieved as he witnesses Luca’s boss who works for Tanase tell a story to the press. He shows Tanase’s arrest as a huge milestone for the police, hiding the fact that the family’s crimes have not come to an end. He continues to work for Tili and Roman is left looking at the injustice that is happening in front of him

Will there be a Season 2?
The ending is an open ending and while it is realistic in every sense, we can assume that there could be a season 2 where we see what happens next. Cami is back to her old life and has nothing to do with the crime scene, but will Tili really let go of her so easily? Meanwhile, Roman is definitely not happy with the outcome of this whole scene, so will he try to expose them again with Cami’s help? There are many such questions so hoping for a Subteran season 2 is not a bad thought.
