Devils Stay Korean Movie Plot

Devils Stay shows the best heart specialist in the world, Seung-do. His comfortable, seemingly stable world is turned upside down when his young daughter So-mi begins exhibiting terribly and inexplicable symptoms. Desperate to know what’s happening to his daughter, Seung-do and his wife turned in every possible direction until they found an exorcist. During the ritual, tragedy struck: So-mi died. But Seung-do cannot let her really go-he cannot quell the nagging suspicion that somehow, miraculously, she is still alive. As he grapples with competing waves of sorrow and hope, he finds himself pulled deeper into a horrific mystery that probes the outer reaches of credulity, reason, and love.
Three days after So-mi’s death, it is her funeral. Their purpose is to give their last respects to the departed; but as they converge, a demonic power miraculously revives within the lifeless body, and the obsequies becomes a battle between heaven and hell. Panic and terror break the mourners, but at this instant, a Catholic priest, Father Van, emerges to challenge the evil inside her. What then unfolds is a heart-shattering conflict of faith and desperation as Seung-do battles to rescue his daughter’s soul and unearths secrets that border on the line between the living and the dead.
