Romance in the House Episode 3 Recap
The episode opens with Tae-pyung reflecting on the incident when he kicked Mi-rae’s father. He approaches her at the mart which makes her panic as she pulls him to the side and warns him not to reveal anything about what happened that night. He agrees while Mi-rae continues with her work.
However, upon reaching home she is shocked when Ae-yeon tells her that they will no longer be moving out, reasoning that they can use the money for something else. Mi-rae questions her if she is being swayed by Moo-jin’s return which triggers Ae-yeon as she tells her to never say that again. Later, Mi-rae go to Moo-jin’s house and ends up making a deal with him.

According to this deal, if he can seduce Ae-yeon in the decided time, he will get his family back, but upon failing to do so, he will hand over the villa to Ae-yeon and leave them forever. With this, a game of tug-of-war begins between the two. Meanwhile, Ae-yeon is trying to calm her emotions while Choi Dong-jin (the tenant who saw Moo-jin the day before the incident) gets paranoid about Moo-jin’s presence.
The next day, Mi-rae hands over the rent for the month to Moo-jin and later treats Tae-pyung to some coffee as an apology, while devising a plan against Moo-jin. Elsewhere, Jae-geol is amused by the pledge signed by Moo-jin and thinks of ways to invalidate it, but Moo-jin stops him from doing anything about it.
Later, Dong-jin faces Moo-jin and panics as he dashes out of his house. Later, he tells the other tenants about what he saw which makes them recollect all the suspicious events they noticed happening around Moo-jin. This creates a sense of fear among them all, but they decide not to reveal anything in front of Ae-yeon at the moment.

At the mart, Mi-rae catches Tae-pyung addressing the CEO as his father, which shocks her, but she doesn’t reveal anything. Later, when they meet again, Mi-rae assures him that his secret is safe with her like her secret is safe with him. Elsewhere, Moo-jin finds out about the tough times Ae-yeon had to face because of him and tells Hyeon-jae that he will make sure this never happens again.
The next day, news of Moo-jin fighting with someone spreads among the tenants which creates panic again. At this time, Hwang Jin-hee (the tenant with a grandson) is at the mart and creates a ruckus in front of Ae-yeon, accusing her of knowing that Moo-jin was the one who burnt their ex-landlord’s house.
Ae-yeon is in shock while Moo-jin tries to intercede, only to make things worse. Mi-rae then strides in and tells Jin-hee that she is obstructing her business because of a stranger’s matter. This shocks Moo-jin as the stranger his daughter is referring to is himself. Mi-rae manages to save the day for Ae-yeon but is later rebuked by her senior.
Later, Ae-yeon scolds her neighbours for questioning her about Moo-jin’s business just because she is the weaker person here. While Mi-rae tells Moo-jin to get lost and not disrupt their lives like this. Moo-jin has had it with the rumours and the next day he goes to the police station to reveal the truth of the matter.

He is seen leaving the station after some time by another tenant who is spotted by Moo-jin. He strides over to him and tells him to have everyone gathered. Sometime later, Moo-jin reveals that he clears up all the assumptions they have about him and reveals that he met the previous landlord to plead to him to sell the building for the sole reason that his family resides there.
Although everyone is still fearful of him, he soon gets them to loosen up when he mentions getting drunk. Everyone finally erupt in cheers while Moo-jin texts Mi-rae that he is never going to get lost.
Romance in the House Episode 3 Review

The father-daughter duo have begun their challenge for Ae-yeon, which means that the real deal with this drama has finally begun. While the chemistry between the divorced parents may not be as striking as this father-daughter duo’s chaotic energy, it is slowly going along the lines of an intriguing plot.
However, the chaos caused by the neighbours was surely a bit of a distraction for most of the episode, which could have been sorted in fewer scenes. Additionally, more scenes between the parents could have made this episode more entertaining because the savage aura of Ae-yeon is surely interesting to watch.
Altogether, this episode wasn’t the best, but not too bad either. However, we hope for the plot to get better from here on as we really need it to move forward.
