No Gain No Love Stills: Shin Min-ah and Kim Young-dae Forge Unexpected Connections

tvN’s upcoming romantic comedy series No Gain No Love (formerly known as Because I Want No Loss) has treated fans to a first look with a set of intriguing stills, offering a glimpse into the lives of its charismatic characters. Starring Shin Min-ah, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, and Han Ji-hyun, this new series is penned by the acclaimed writer Kim Hye-young, known for Her Private Life.

No Gain No Love(손해 보기 싫어서) follows the story of Son Hae-young, played by Min-ah, a woman fiercely determined to avoid financial setbacks at all costs. Faced with the threat of missing out on a coveted promotion, she devises a scheme involving a fake marriage. Enter Kim Ji-wook, portrayed by Young-dae, a principled part-timer at a local convenience store who reluctantly agrees to play her husband in exchange for a bit of extra income.

Sang-yi steps into the role of Bok Gyu-hyun, a pragmatic CEO of Kkulbee Education where Son Hae-young works. Gyu-hyun, a third-generation chaebol, is sceptical about love until he stumbles upon a web novel authored by Nam Ja-yeon, played by Ji-hyun. Ja-yeon, known by her pen name Yeon Bo-ra, is a popular writer of risqué romance novels and shares a close friendship with Son Hae-young.

The released stills provide a glimpse into the characters’ worlds. Min-ah is captured in an office setting, her expression a mix of determination and contemplation, perfectly embodying Son Hae-young’s ambitious and meticulous nature. Young-dae appears casually dressed, yet his eyes betray a sense of curiosity and resolve, embodying the character of Kim Ji-wook. Sang-yi exudes confidence in a sharp black suit, portraying the composed and business-savvy CEO Bok Gyu-hyun. Meanwhile, Ji-hyun brings vibrancy and charm to Nam Ja-yeon, reflecting her creative and spirited persona.

With a stellar cast and a compelling premise centred around fake marriages and unexpected connections, No Gain No Love promises to deliver a delightful blend of romance and comedy. As anticipation builds for its premiere, viewers can look forward to unravelling the humorous and heartfelt journey of these characters as they navigate love, ambition, and the unpredictable twists of fate.
