Miss Night and Day Episode 3 Recap

In the episode, the perpetrator runs away from Ji-woong, and Mi-jin notices a unique scent on him. It turns out that the case files Mi-jin was reading belonged to Ji-woong’s mother, and some information has been ripped out. Ji-woong contacts the detective-in-charge at the time to find out more.

Lim Sun receives the Brave Intern award for helping Ko Won during a scary incident. A new hospital director named Baek Cheol-gyu joins the team. Ko Won thanks Ga-yeong for her help, but Ga-yeong becomes confused when she hears that her mother also helped Ko Won.

Mi-jin, pretending to be Lim Sun, tries to explain, but Ga-yeong doesn’t believe her and accuses her of scamming. Eventually, Mi-jin tells Ga-yeong to wait until the sun sets to see for herself. Ga-yeong helps Mi-jin find the cat responsible for the problem. The next day, Lim Sun returns the gifts to Ko Won and they agree that he will bring her coffee every day. Meanwhile, Ji-woong interviews the perpetrator responsible for throwing the acid at Ko Won.

Later, Ko Won has a panic attack mistaking a masked man for the perpetrator, but Lim Sun calms him down. She also thanks Ji-woong for returning her earphones and gives him a treat in return. Ji-woong encounters an uncooperative office assistant who decides to quit, annoying the deputy director. Ji-woong is reprimanded but remains unaffected.

During an investigation, the detective reveals that the victim could be alive as the leg was cut off while she was alive. He thinks of his mother – who had a similar fate. He continues looking around when he sees someone suspicious driving the same car as that day. He follows him but loses him soon enough. He visits Mi-jin at her home when her parents force them to sit in her room and talk.

Even though they feel uncomfortable, they still talk about the case. Tension spreads in the room as they sit together but Mi-jin thinks back to the smell from the perpetrator and wishes she could remember. He leaves soon after and her mother gushes about him.

The next day, Lim Sun is called by the deputy director and is given a new job as the office aide for Ji-woong’s office. He sees her and gets angry at the situation. He visits the deputy director who tells him to work with what he has as they cannot get another person. The episode ends with Lim Sun introducing herself while Ji-woong looks at her all puzzled.
