BTS SUGA Begins Basic Military Training Amid Public Service Duties

The question of where BTS SUGA has been since he started his military service has been on everyone’s lips. Finally today, on March 28, 2024, it was revealed by Dispatch that SUGA has started his three-week basic military training at the Nonsan Training Centre. This is an important step for him in his military service. Fans are excited to see him return after completing this training.

SUGA, aka Min Yoongi, embarked on his mandatory service as a public service worker back in September of last year. Following the completion of his basic training, he will resume his duties in his assigned public service position. Notably, SUGA opted to pursue his public service duties before undergoing basic military training, a departure from the conventional enlistment process.

Under current enlistment regulations, individuals assigned to public service have the option to prioritize their service ahead of basic training. This choice is often made due to the randomized allocation of positions within public service, as opposed to the ability to select a specific role or location. Consequently, individuals who opt for this route may commence their duties sooner, circumventing the potentially lengthy wait associated with securing a preferred position.

The decision to undergo basic training after initiating public service reflects SUGA’s commitment to fulfilling his military obligations while accommodating his career commitments and personal circumstances. As a prominent member of the globally renowned boy band BTS, SUGA’s enlistment has been closely monitored by fans worldwide. Despite his temporary hiatus from the spotlight, SUGA’s dedication to both his military service and his artistic pursuits has garnered admiration from supporters and industry peers alike. His conscientious approach to fulfilling his duties serves as a testament to his professionalism and sense of duty.

Flying, Song Mino from WINNER, Kai from EXO, Jinyoung from GOT7, and Jooheon from MONSTA X are currently serving in the military and are expected to complete their service by 2025.
