The series begins with Lee Tang, a college student employed at a conventional store. One day, a customer enters the store and begins to verbally and physically abuse Lee. In a fit of anger, Lee accidentally kills the man with a hammer. Fearing the consequences, Lee is relieved when the police fail to find any evidence linking him to the murder. Later, he discovers that the man he killed was a notorious criminal, which oddly brings him a sense of satisfaction.
Shortly after, a woman approaches the store claiming to be an eyewitness to the murder. She blackmails Lee for money, threatening to expose him. In a desperate attempt to conceal his crime, Lee murders her as well. Once again, he learns that the woman was also involved in criminal activities, having killed her own parents. This revelation fuels Lee’s perception of himself as a dark hero and vigilante.
As Lee continues to evade justice, his actions catch the attention of a man named Roh-bin, who approaches him with an offer to work together. Roh-bin seeks to eliminate individuals who commit similar crimes, and he sees Lee as a valuable asset in achieving this goal.

The ensuing clash erupted into chaos, culminating in Roh-bin’s tragic demise at the hands of Chon and Nan-gam’s retaliatory strike against his father’s murderer. Song Chon reveals to Nan-gam the true nature of his father’s corruption and his mother’s infidelity with his boss. When Song Chon confronts his father about drug dealing, he responds with verbal abuse, blaming Song Chon for being the son of a criminal, which ultimately leads to his attempt to kill him. In a desperate moment, Song Chon tries to attack Lee Tang with a knife, prompting Nan-gam to intervene, pulling the trigger and fatally stopping him.
