True Detective Season 4 aka True Detective Night Country seems like all the ardent fans of the show have been waiting for. The series, with every season, has created a riot that has levelled deep into the human psyche to ask and intrigue us about some really important questions regarding life. This season we expect it to be nothing less.

The anthology drama series is created by Nic Pizzolatto. However, this is the first season where Pizzalatto is not the showrunner. Issa López is the one serving as the showrunner, writer, and director this time. Although Pizzalatto still continues to be the executive producer of the series. Ahead of its release, let us look at some quick things related to the latest season.

True Detective Season 4 Cast

The main cast for the fourth season includes Jodie Foster as Liz Danvers, Kali Reis as Evangeline Navarro, Finn Bennett as Peter Prior, Fiona Shaw as Rose Aguineau, Christopher Eccleston as Ted Corsaro, Isabella Star LaBlanc as Leah Danvers and John Hawkes as Hank Prior. The recurring cast is going to feature Anna Lambe as Kayla Malee, Aka Niviâna as Julia Navarro, and Joel D. Montgrand as Eddie Qavvik amongst several others.

True Detective Season 4 Plot/Synopsis

Foster’s character is a detective on a mission. The plot revolves around eight scientists who go missing from their research stations and, are found at the edge of the village. Reis plays the partner to Foster’s detective and, she has seen something similar years ago. With their individual differences kept aside, the two women work together to get to the end of the murder spree in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska.

True Detective Season 4 Release Date and More

There are going to be six episodes in the series that have been announced so far. The first episode titled ‘Part One’ is scheduled to arrive on Max on January 14, 2024. Thereafter, the episodes will follow a weekly release timetable. The runtime of the episodes are going to be the same the previous season ranging from 40 to 60 minutes.
