My Man is Cupid Episode 4 Recap

After threatening the valet parker, Sang-hyuk discovers that the owner of Poppy Clinic hired the man to scare Baek-ryun due to declining sales caused by her. However, instead of taking them to the police, Baek-ryun forgives them and leaves the clinic. During their conversation, she opens up about her lonely childhood in an orphanage, prompting Sang-hyuk’s determination to find her a mate. That night, Sang-hyuk takes a walk, and the episode introduces the deity of the red thread reading a story to a child.

Observing the child’s wit, the deity recalls Sang-hyuk’s past personality, depicted in a flashback. Sang-hyuk was a cupid who joyfully united people with the red thread, even if they were already in love. Ignoring warnings from his cupid friends and the deity, Sang-hyuk’s interference led to punishment: a ring of fire that burned his wings as he pursued a love that defied fate. Back in the present, Jae-hee experiences recurring nightmares, unaware of his past life’s connection.

Detectives believe they’ve found the third witness, but when they meet her, she denies being present during Eun-seo’s abduction. Sang-hyuk promises to find Baek-ryun a man, misunderstanding her feelings for him. He visits her clinic, questions her about her ideal type, and consults the Love Room owner to set her up on a date with a young man. Jae-hee, checking on Alexandra, discusses past lives with Baek-ryun.

In a tragic turn, the news reports the third witness’s suspicious death after police interrogation. Unbeknownst to Baek-ryun, she is the one the police are searching for, she watches the chaos in her apartment block, amidst a crowd. Meanwhile, Sang-hyuk recalls Jeong-ah, intensifying the emotional complexity of the unfolding narrative.
