Haseen Dillruba

A wife is accused of her husband’s murder while having a steamy affair with someone related to him. Did they conspire the murder together, or was it just her? We find out everything in the end. Haseen Dillruba has an interesting premise, although it has a bizarre ending. The portrayal of the leading character is confusing. Nevertheless, if you want to watch it just so that you don’t miss out on the genre, you can give it a try.

Directed by Vinil Mathew, the film stars Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane.

Malang

A young couple’s romance in Goa turns ugly when they get involved in multiple deaths. This Hindi film will keep you engrossed with its twisted plot, impressive performances, and outstanding music. You think you have figured everything out until you see the revelation at the end. Directed by Mohit Suri, Malang stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Kunal Kemmu.

The Tourist

We have seen many romantic movies where two strangers meet on a holiday and fall in love. In The Tourist, two strangers meet in a romantic setting, but things take an unexpected turn. The action, drama, and romance in this movie are well-balanced to keep you interested in the story, despite being predictable. Directed by Florian Henckel, the film stars Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.

Looop Lapeta

A Hindi remake of the 1998 German film Run Lola Run, the film stars Taapsee Pannu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and others. In the movie, a girl has to go through loops and make different choices to save her man. It’s a fun blend of humour, fantasy, romance, and thrillers. Watch out for the amazing soundtracks.

The Weekend Away

A woman decides to enjoy a good vacation with her best friend. However, one of them goes missing, and the reasons go back to a connection with a common man. The movie is a bit slow, but that’s the nature of such thrillers on Netflix.
