Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 20 Preview: Dr Stone (ドクターストーン) is an animation series based on the manga of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. After a blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world—turning every single human into stone, humanity goes back in time. Years of civilisation have disappeared, and the only hope to rebuild it is in the hands of a brilliant scientist, Senku.
The opening theme is Haruka (遥か) performed by Ryujin Kiyoshi while the ending theme is Suki ni Shinayo (好きにしなよ) performed by Anly for Dr Stone New World Cour 2. From studios of TMS Entertainment, the show is produced by TOHO Animation, Shueisha and 8PAN. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Dr Stone: New World Part 2 will cover the “New World” arc from the manga series. The story continues to follow Senku, who manages to create the Nitric acid again with the help of platinum. The acid is the only way to free the world from the stone age. However, during his journey, he also finds out the source of the green light that is responsible for the petrification. Will Senku be able to save the world with the help of science?

The main character of the story is Senku, a brilliant scientist. Citizens of the Kingdom of Science include Kohaku, Chrome, Kinro, Ginro, Suika, Gen Asagiri, Kaseki, Magma, and more. Senku’s old friends Taiju Oki and Yuzuriha Ogawa have also joined the cast. Characters from Empire of Might include Tsukasa, Ukyo Saionji, Minami Hokutozai, Yo Uei and more. Ryusui Nanami is the latest addition to the team, who is an expert sailor.

In the previous episode, Senku’s sudden presence before Ibara, who is taken aback by his upright stance. Despite the petrification beam’s widespread effect on the entire island, Senku managed to evade its grasp. Unbeknownst to Oarashi, the petrification device was implanted within him, making him the beam’s source. The Kingdom of Science found themselves in close proximity to Oarashi, with no feasible means of evading the rapidly spreading beam.
However, the group devised a clever strategy to rescue Senku. They positioned themselves in a line, allowing Senku to calculate the petrification duration for each individual precisely. Senku strategically released Nitric acid into the air, ensuring it would descend upon him concurrently with the petrification process. Senku attempted to wrest Medusa from Ibara’s grasp personally but met with failure. Senku and Rusui extracted the drone and made a joint effort to seize Medusa from Ibara but they remained unsuccessful. In a final gambit, Ryusui seized the hearing device crafted by Senku and affixed it to Medusa. Seizing the opportunity, Senku activated the device, petrifying Ibara and successfully acquiring possession of Medusa.
