Hard Days Plot

The narrative orbits Detective Kudo Yuji, whose life takes a harrowing turn while en route to visit his ailing mother at the hospital. Overwhelmed with panic, he accidentally strikes and fatally injures a man while driving. Adrift in confusion, he conceals the body in his car. His professional stature as a detective shields him from immediate suspicion. Upon reaching the hospital, he faces the devastating news of his mother’s passing. In a daze, he places the deceased stranger’s body in his mother’s casket. This inexplicable act triggers unease among those around him, sensing a hidden turmoil.

Unexpectedly, an anonymous message arrives, unsettling Kudo further with the chilling words, “You’re surprisingly composed for a killer.” The sender threatens to harm his daughter unless he surrenders the corpse. This initiates a desperate race to protect his family from the blackmailer’s sinister grasp, culminating in a riveting and suspenseful tale.
