Suburræterna Season 2 Theories: Did the Netflix Show End on a Cliffhanger? What Could Spadino And Damiano Be Upto in a Potential Sequel?

There’s immense anticipation for Suburræterna Season 2 especially after the series left viewers hanging with unresolved conflicts and the pending fight. Directed by Ciro D’Emilio and Alessandro Tonda, this Netflix show features Giacomo Ferrara as Alberto Anacleti, known as Spadino, alongside Carlotta Antonelli as Angelica Sale, Federica Sabatini as Nadia Gravoni, Filippo Nigro as Amedeo Cinaglia, Paola Sotgiu as Adelaide Anacleti, Emmanuele Aita as Ferdinando Badali, Aliosha Massine as Ercole Bonatesta, Alberto Cracco as Fiorenzo Nascari, Morris Sarra as Cesare Luciani, Yamina Brirmi as Giulia Luciani, Giorgia Spinelli as Miriana Murtas, Marlon Joubert as Damiano Luciani, and more. This Italian action drama comprises 8 episodes, each running between 45 to 50 minutes.

Suburræterna continues the gripping saga from the 2015 film Suburra and the 2017 Netflix series, Suburra: Blood on Rome. Exploring deeper into Rome’s underworld, the series unravels a city in turmoil—its government crumbling, the Vatican facing challenges, and unrest dominating public spaces. Cinaglia and Badali maintain control, aided by Adelaide, Angelica, and Nadia. But discontent brews as Damiano Luciani’s actions cause chaos across Rome, drawing Spadino back to protect his family. Tensions escalate toward a monumental clash, leaving the fate of Rome hanging precariously.

Suburræterna Season 2 Still 1

Will There Be Suburræterna Season 2?

If you’re wondering about a second season for the show, I’m pretty confident it’s happening. The first season didn’t tie up all the loose ends, especially the fight between the Lucianis and the Anacletis. We still don’t know who won. The season finale left us with a bunch of questions. As we saw, Victor convinced Spadino to stay in Rome for the people, while Angelica broke up with Damiano after finding out about Nadia’s death. But it’s not clear if that’s the end of their relationship, especially since only Cesare died. So, there’s a lot left hanging for Suburræterna Season 2.

Suburræterna Season 2 Still 2

As of the moment, Netflix has yet to confirm a second season for the gripping Italian action-drama series. This isn’t surprising, given the recent release of the first season. Netflix typically takes its time when deciding whether to renew or cancel their newer shows. However, considering the significant loose ends left untied, it’s highly anticipated that a second season will follow, allowing the writer to delve deeper into Spadino’s life, a character many are eager to explore further after his compelling role in the initial season. Moreover, the pending storylines are expected to find a resolution. Patience will be key as we await any updates regarding the renewal status of Suburræterna on Netflix.
