My Lovely Liar (소용없어 거짓말) is a South Korean drama series written by Seo Jeong-eu, directed by Nam Sung-woo, and stars Kim So-hyun and Hwang Min-hyun in lead roles, along with Seo Ji-hoon and Lee Si-woo. The penultimate addition to the season, i.e. Episode 15 released on September 18, 2023, and here’s all we need to know about the final episode that will close the book on this storyline within the next few hours.
The K-drama’s plots revolves around So-hyun, who plays Mok Sol-hee, a woman who’s given up on her happiness upon having realised her super-abilities to hear other people’s lies. On the other hand, Min-hyun leads the life of a famous compose turned murder suspect who changes his name to stay out of the public eye.
Hwang Min-hyun was last seen in Live On (2020) and Alchemy of Souls (2022-2023), and is also well known for his solo K-pop career signed under Pledis Entertainment. Whereas, Kim So-hyun last played Yeom Ga-jin / Queen Yeon in the 2021 drama series River Where the Moon Rises, and also gained quite fame after her portrayal of Kim Jo-jo in the two seasons of Love Alarm (2019-2021). My Lovely Liar took over tvN’s Monday-Tuesday 8:50PM KST time slot previously occupied by Delightfully Deceitful, starring Chun Woo-hee and Kim Dong-wook.

Once her fate gets entangled with a murder suspect, who endlessly claims his innocence but no one believes him, her hated power of being able to tell lies and truth apart from each other comes to the rescue.

The final episode is not just crucial in bringing the show’s main couple their happy ending, but also in terms of resolving these characters’ disputes with their parents. Episode 16 preview grants us a sneak peek into how Sol-hee and her mother will approach her father residing in the forest in hopes of bringing him back to their house and making room for the family’s much-awaited reunion. Certain moments also portray Sol-hee being vulnerable and feeling insecure, but with Do-ha right by her side, she’s got a pillar of strength to rely on.
Moreover, his undying declarations of love for her further reassure her. Sol-hee isn’t the only character reaching full circle with her family, as Do-ha’s mother will also finally reach out and convey her apologies to him in person for having made his life harder than it should’ve been. Eventually, he too will go on to Sol-hee’s family and introduce himself to her father, while also helping her give him a makeover so as to take Sol-hee’s mother by surprise.
With another important event headed their way, the 2024 KMA Awards will announce the winner of the Best Composer category. Will Do-ha be able to clinch this title like he did at the beginning of the season before the whole murder mystery complication surrounded him?
