The list of Korean Dramas on Netflix is increasing every year as fans get to watch content of all genres. From romance to thriller to horror, the streaming platform has everything for everyone.
This year, Netflix treated Kdrama fans with Black Knight, Celebrity, Bloodhounds and several other nail-biters. Well, get ready to astonish yourself with another upcoming crime thriller - Mask Girl.
A few days ago, the makers dropped the trailer where we see a girl who is unhappy with her life wearing and mask and walking on the dark side of the internet. The synopsis reads, “Kim Mo-mi, an ordinary office worker by day who is insecure about her appearance and a live-streamer by night who covers up her face with a mask, as she becomes embroiled in an unforeseen incident and undergoes a dramatic turn of events.”
The story revolves around a girl named Kim Mo-mi. Three different actresses will play Mo-mi. The adult version will be played by Go Hyun-jung, who was earlier seen in The Queen’s Classroom, Queen Seondeok and other popular dramas.
Idol Nana will play another version of Kim Mo-mi. The singer-actor was earlier featured in Justice, Love in Contract, Glitch and more.
In the trailer, the makers didn’t reveal who will play the third version of Mo-mi. We only see a girl in the mask. Recently, Netflix revealed that a new actress, Lee Han-byeol, would play the third version.
The show also features actor Ahn Jae-hong as Joe Oh-nam, a big admirer of the Mask Girl. He is also Mo-mi’s office colleague.
Oh-nam’s mother’s role is played by none other than the skilled Yeom Hye-ran. Her character’s name is Kim Kyung-ja. Kyung-ja is ready to go to any extent to protect her son.
The Kdrama is all set to stream on Netflix from August 18, 2023, at 12:30 PM IST/4 PM KST.
