Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 4 Review: The second episode of the anime series premiered on July 27, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).
The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes will adapt the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.
Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Words fall short of describing how incredibly well-executed the latest episode is. The new episode picks up from where the previous one ended. Right from the start, the characters engage in an enthralling battle sequence that keeps everyone on edge. At first glance, it is right versus wrong and good versus evil; however, the lines are blurred, which will make you question reality.
It is imperative to mention the top-tier animation that the creators have achieved. MAPPA Studios have yet again raised the bar high for themselves and everyone else. The screen bursts to life with a dazzling display of expertly choreographed combat. Every frame is meticulously crafted to immerse the audience in a whirlwind of action, suspense, and adrenaline. From the fierce clashes of swords to the explosive bursts of energy, the animation captures the intensity and raw emotion of the battle.
The one-on-one dual between the characters is captured in such a dynamic manner that it adequately showcases the skills of the animators, while the dynamic camera angles amplify the sense of urgency and danger. The epic clash of the characters leaves the fans holding their breath in awe and excitement until the very last frame.
Apart from the animation, another major aspect of the series is the character development and world-building. Each character has their own story to tell with different perspectives and views of the world. Gege has put forward a story that creates a grey area and forces the viewers to re-evaluate their moral compass, and the creators of the anime have maintained to tell the story with competency.
Moreover, the voice actors have been doing an incredible job of bringing the characters to life. They are able to display every emotion while mixing their own flavours and making the characters their own. Emotions run high with an untimely demise, but the satisfactory end will leave a bitter-sweet feeling among viewers.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 4 Review: Final Thoughts
Without a doubt, episode 4 of the current arc is the best one so far. Along with an incredible battle sequence, the decent plot development elevates the quality of the episode. The episode is directed and executed so well that it leaves no room for complaints. The only downside about the episode is that it is too short, as we have to snap back to reality within 20 minutes.
