There is a new comedy special coming to Netflix, and it is not like the other ones. 85 South Ghetto Legends is expected to be a freestyle comedy special. This probably means that the performers will be taking input from the audience and spinning it around to bring their own take to the place’s humour, tuning into the audience’s vibe that day. This television special is directed by Stan Lathan, known for his work with Dave Chappelle: Sticks and Stones.

Featuring three good friends, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean and Karlous Miller, this special will have them not just perform normally but will take help from the band playing for them, the crew and also the audience roping them into the collective experience. With the aforementioned performers, there are special guests coming in as well, like Rich Homie Quan and Goodie Mobb.
85 South Ghetto Legends Plot/Synopsis
The three of them have the kind of relationship that allows some light hazing and mocking while keeping it incredibly suave and smooth. As the trailer moves forward, we see these three get into their own shenanigans, like playing the drums and dancing in front of the audience with their shirt off. Amidst all the shirtless dancing, one of the performers shared how they felt like they were the only sperm trying to fertilise his mother’s egg. Whilst waiting for all the sperms to join, he thinks his job has become incredibly simple.
Coming right from Atlanta, this special seeks to connect audiences to the city but also to the performers themselves. Calling attendees on stage, having them perform and also cheering them on. Coming from a community makes them all relate to each other, and guessing by the way the audience isn’t even sitting in their seat most of the time, it is definitely coming across that way. The ability to bring niche jokes and bits from a specific culture is what makes a special like this incredibly entertaining and fun to watch.
