Pavitr Prabhakar has been a comic anomaly in the 70s, staying in Mumbattan, a portmanteau of two of the busiest regions in the world, Mumbai and Manhattan. In the new Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Trailer, the character played by Karan Soni, the Hindi and Punjabi version by Indian Cricketer Shubman Gill, will see some new adventures ready to grab eyeballs and set the record straight. We also see some new footage with Pavitr Prabhakar swinging around in his city. The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson and Kemp Powers, while it has been written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Dave Callaham.
This film stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Oscar Isaac, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzmann, Brian Tyree Henry and Lauren Velez, alongside other cast members. This film will be about Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O’Hara, who has created an elite group of Spider-People from across the universe. However, the twist is that he is the one going after Miles Morales because Miguel doesn’t think this man deserves his powers. Now the only thing is to see this through while Gwen and Peter B Parker try their level best to keep Miles safe.
In this new clip, Pavitr Prabhakar shares his experience with being Spider-Man, India-style. Whether it be jumping over domes or landing on insulated electric cables, this trailer explores all the complexities that come with living in the best city in the world. Of course, it must be expected that Spider-Man India brought an interesting brand of humour, including but not limited to how the superhero doesn’t particularly enjoy working out because he may become too buff.
Additionally, this Spider-Man has Maya Aunty, with whom he drinks ‘chai’ every evening. Miles Morales also starts to bond with this guy before immediately breaking the spell by calling it chai tea, and Pavitr Prabhakar most assuredly tears him a new one, going into detail to explain why it is wrong to say something like that with a clear example. While this is our first introduction to the character, we see some snippets of Miguel O’Hara as well, who has been warning Miles of the future where he might either lose his father or lose the entire planet.

It is the same concept we saw in What If…? with the Doctor Strange episode, speaking of the Absolute Point in Time, where that event changes everything about the world and may even cause a rupture in the fabric of space and time. Perhaps the delicate balance that Miguel O’Hara has achieved may be completely threatened by what Miles may be able to do with his Spider-Man powers. However, he will be joined by Peter B Parker and Gwen Stacy, his companions entrusted with everything.
There are many ways to understand loss, and the Spider-Man lore demands that. Every time a person loses someone close to them, a new life is born within them. For a Spider-Man, the lesson is always, “With great power, comes great responsibility.” This is the lesson every superhero in this universe has to learn. It is only time that we see Miles learn his lesson. He is the only Spider-person in his world at the moment, and there are threats that make it clear that he may need to grow up.
