The Planet by BTS Twitter Reactions are completely mesmerised by the BTS’ latest song and even found some easter eggs about the release in previous music videos. Made for the upcoming SBS animated film Bastions, it is directed by Jo Buem-jin and follows a group of heroes confronting people responsible for causing environmental pollution.
On May 12, 2023, the soundtrack was revealed with an animated dance cover music video by the characters of the film. The characters slightly resembled the K-pop idols in general, with their various hair colours and synchronised choreography.
The song is especially welcomed by the fans and general listeners as the band is currently on a break until their mandatory military service is completed. Therefore, getting a track with all the seven voices of the members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, is like a precious gift. However, many are surprised to find out that they spoiled the song in the music video for Jin’s The Astronaut.
Around the 33-second mark of the video, one can see Jin holding a newspaper with crossword puzzles & news stories. Out of which, one mentions ‘The Planet is coming back soon’. Whether it was intentional or things just happened to play out like that is unknown but the fans have to be applauded for finding the easter egg (some would say ARMYs are trained like that from the start).

However, the funny thing to come out of it is that many believe that BTS must have even forgotten about the song & even if they request the members to sing it on their live, they won’t be able to. Even more so, the song has been doing pretty well on the charts and even reached number one on iTunes US. This is certainly a great feat for an OST of an animated film.
Previously, their label mate Le Sserafim, former members of Brave Girls, along with Heize, AleXa, Seo J, Kang Min-seo, and rapper P. Cassady, were also reported to have collaborated for the film & we might get more soundtracks from the artist. Currently, BTS member J-Hope enlisted in the military, followed by Jin; while solo comebacks from V and Jungkook are speculated in the latter half of the year.
