Love and Death Plot

Centred around the true story of a Texan housewife, Candy Montgomery, the show takes us through different chapters of her life in Wylie, Texas before the infamous tragedy ultimately struck. Being one of the core members of her community’s Methodist church, she’s unsatisfied with how stifling her situation is, and so to seek a “reckless” way out of this paradigm, she steps into an extramarital affair with Allan Gore, a fellow of the church. While having begun on this route, Candy has no plans of hurting anyone in the process, it eventually leads her to the point when she brutally murders her friend (Allan’s wife), Betty Gore in 1980.

Love and Death Cast

Love and Death Episode 4 Prediction

With where we left things off the last time, Lily Rabe’s Betty is highly likely to attack Candy upon having discovered her affair with her husband. However, we all know how things ultimately panned out with Candy striking Betty with the same axe 41 times. As a result, the new episode will take a drastic turn in building out this major development and twist in Candy’s life, which although has shed some light on desire for freedom, it hasn’t yet overtly painted her as an antagonistic individual.

Love and Death Episode 3 Recap

Titled ‘Stepping Stone’, episode 3 saw Candy and Pat head over for Marriage Encounter that was previously attended by Betty and Allan. Although the former pair is quite sceptic of the whole thing, they eventually find their own way of communicating with each other, until Pat finally discovers a letter given to Candy by Allan, hinting at their former affair. While Candy is on her way to starting a new business with Sherry and reforming herself, Betty’s instincts also let her know of the aforementioned affair.

Love and Death is now streaming on HBO Max.
