Earlier today, Zack Snyder made an exciting announcement via his social media account about Lord Darkseid that has left the DC fans equally confused and excited. The post indicates that the filmmaker is working on another Justice League movie which will feature the supervillain. It could also mean that the villain is getting a stand-alone film; the possibilities are endless!
For the unversed, Darkseid is a DC Comics supervillain, an ancient and all-powerful cosmic God whose aim is to take over the entire universe.
Zack Snyder, on his social media platform, has uploaded a video with the caption “Full Circle”. The short clip consists of a message that has created ripples over the internet. With the large text “Incoming message”, which seemingly feels like the transmission is from outer space. Through the noise, a deep faint deep voice resurfaces that announces a few important dates, April 28th, 29th and 30th, 2023. The unknown being asks to save the dates.
As per usual, fans took to Twitter to discuss about the mysterious message. The platform users have speculated that the director might be holding SnyderCon, but no one really knows what it was about. They also speculate that it might be an announcement for Justice League Director’s Cut theatrical release. It could also mean that a new lineup of movies or shows might be announced in an elaborate event. Whatever it might be, Snyder has managed to create enough thrill among the comic fans and non-fans alike.
Darkseid is a character created by Jack Kirby, who appears as the lead protagonist in his Fourth World Metaseries. The supervillain is a New God and the tyrannical Lord of Apokolips. He is one of the most powerful beings in the DC universe. The supernatural being is also Superman’s biggest adversary, and it is possible that he will be appearing in the latest Justice League movie.

However, the character is not explored as much in the movie, and it is expected that the director will showcase more sides of the supervillain in his upcoming movies.
