Elsewhere, after having stabbed Choi Hye-jeong in the throat, Lee Sa-ra is taken to jail while the former is left with her vocal cords destroyed and abandoned by Jeon Jae-joon. This leaves her distressed and angered, so when Dong-eun comes with a proposal to get her revenge on Jae-joon, she does not shy away and changes his eye drops.

She is ready to end her life when Yeo-jung’s mother stops her and asks for her help in freeing her son from the hell he has been living in. She asks Dong-eun to liberate Yeo-jung from the revenge he has been living for as he continues to revive letters from his father’s murderer who feels no remorse but finds pleasure in torturing Yeo-jung mentally.
