Velma Episode 9 and 10: Who is the Murderer?

Velma Finale consists of the ninth and tenth episodes. The ninth episode begins right around where we left off in the previous episode, with Diya Dinkley being back. However, she is unable to remember who kidnapped her and is diagnosed with Amnesia. The doctors suggest that Diya only has 72 hours to regain all her memories. If she does not, she will lose them all forever.

Thus, starts Velma’s quest to keep her mother happy and elated by bringing her back to her old life, which has changed but, the titular character makes sure she does not notice it as she believes that keeping her happy will fasten the process of Diya gaining her memories back. However, with Aman and Sophie’s relationship on the stand and a lot of new characters in the scene for Diya, it is not an easy job.

But, Velma sure tries as she fabricates the good lies, only to discover something unexpected that takes us to the tenth and final episode of the show where the big revelation of who the killer is happens.

Velma: Final Verdict

Velma Episode 9 and 10 tried to do a decent job in pulling up the socks of the show but, the shock value they provided us in the ninth episode just ended with an anti-climatic moment in the tenth one. The relationships built throughout the season seem shallow and, not worth the time. However, the biggest disappointment has to be the main villain of the story, who was an unsuspecting character but, the reason behind the doings is just pure hilarious, in a bad way.

The makers of Velma tried their shot with this adult animated show but, it was a hard throw and did not land nicely with everyone. Yes, shows are subjective in nature and a lot of people do like how this series has turned out to be. Unfortunately, we aren’t one of them. The jokes are cringe and trash and the character developments are filled with loopholes and there is a necessary yet unnecessary mystery at the core of the story that keeps flipping us from side to side.

You can now watch all the latest episodes of the show on HBO Max.
