The Post Truth World Plot/Synopsis

Remember the saying, “there’s no such thing as bad publicity”. Anchor Liu Li-min encounters a similar situation when he’s held hostage by a former prominent sports figure turned convict for having murdered his girlfriend years ago. Using the opportunity to the fullest as a means to promote his name to the world, Li-min plays along with the stunt while initiating his own investigation on the ground. The movie critiques the true face of today’s media stepping foot in sensationalism and giving in to all kinds of tactics as a means to spread the word.

The official Netflix synopsis of the film reads, “When held hostage by a convicted sports star, anchor Liu Li-min finds a new shot at fame. But his investigation reveals far more than he expected”
