The cooking reality show Pressure Cooker concluded with an intense face-off between the top chefs of the season and gave way to a surprising finish. Notably, the contestants in the season finale of this unique blend of real drama and cooking were Mike and his self-appointed opponent Robbie Jester.
Furthermore, throughout the series, we got to see some fierce competition among the participating chefs, followed by a flavourful combination of dishes and culinary. In fact, each episode had an appetizing delicacy, that was made with utmost precision and practice.
Pressure Cooker Ending Explained
In the seventh episode, chef Mike became the first contestant to qualify for the final round, after presenting a complete four-course meal to the judges aka the eliminated contestants. Moreover, this also gave him the edge to choose his competition, from the list of Renee, Sergie and Robbie.
Much to anyone’s surprise, the private chef went with Robbie Jester, who was one of the most underrated participants of the series. In fact, Robbie’s Journey had been one of improvement, consistency, and hard work. The fine chef from Delaware had made his way to the finals, by sticking to his strengths, and constantly experimenting with the ingredients.
Therefore, his fellow contestants already had a sense of praise for Robbie and his self-assuring journey on the show. Which eventually translated him into a meticulous culinary expert, episode after episode.
During the Pressure Cooker Finale, Mike went with Lana as his main helper and Chef Robbie with Ed. The duo decided to cook their homely speciality and present a taste of some of the finest four-course meals ever cooked. Morever, Robbie Jester also made some last-minute altercations and chose Shrimp above anything else.
Finally, as the eliminated contestants took their judging seats for the last time, it was pretty clear that the outcome was going to be fierce.
However, it was Robbie who stole the show with his unique take on Prawn and Crispy Pork. His dish was a masterclass in technique, with perfectly cooked ingredients and a light, savoury Truffle, that was the highlight of the competition. Right after the judges took their first bites, they were instantly blown away by the flavours and the presentation of the dish.
Morever, as the show came to a near end, the tension in the room was easily visible. Mike and Lana waited nervously as Robbie stood with his head held high, confident in the quality of his dish. When the judges announced their decision, there was a moment of stunned silence before Robbie’s name was called the winner.
In the end, it was clear that Robbie Jester’s dedication and hard work had paid off, and he was the deserving winner of Pressure Cooker. Furthermore, as he walked offstage with the victory title, he knew that this was just the beginning of his culinary journey, and he was ready to take on whatever challenges came his way.

It was clear that Mike was the better chef consistently through the series, but people voted for Robbie because he was the more lovable of the two. A cooking show should emphasise the quality of the food, not likability so for me, the ending didn’t make sense and was unfair.
Totally agree. Mike was better all the way, cooking alone or in a team. The last two menus he created were incredible. He should’ve won the 100k. The arguments for voting in Robbie were not compelling. It is very disappointing the see an innovative chef lose to a traditional one.
Mike was robbed making the shop a disappointing failure. Robbie put out raw meat on a finale! Those voting chefs should be ashamed
I agree with you. I don’t think I’ll watch this show again because it’s not about who’s best.
Agreed. I wish he had chosen Renee as his opponent, just has she had chose to keep him because she hoped to go against the best in the finale. Between Robbie and Mike, it was clear Mike was he stronger chef and should have won.
I agree Mike was the best chef. He was the one who should get 100,000 dollars. My family is so disappointed about the results. Unfair. The show was about cooking, not about emotions.
This show was good bur it was obvious that Mike should have won. I know the show wanted to save money by not having judges but relying on partial contestants turned the show into more of a political survivor battle and than a culinary challenge. The finale ruined the show for me.
I watched the show and pretty much expected the outcome to be based on “favorites” vs. who was the best chef. I agree with all comments below. Mike was the clear winner. I won’t be watching another season of this show.
Chef Mike was Robbied! Chef Sergei’s vote should have counted for 2, and the others less than 1. Shameful for Lana, at least Ed voted for Robbie regardless of the meal. Undercooked meat and he still won? Brian was there for comic relief, and should have never even gotten to vote. I will not watch any further series, and no kudos to a chef who does not want to cook, but instead stay another day by being a judge. Mike and Sergei were the best chefs there, and the other 8 are jealous.
Agreed!!!
Everybody here saying that the show was about cooking, not emotions, and the winner then should’ve been Mike… Like, c’mon people, clearly this wasn’t a show just about food, it WAS supposed to be about emotions and surviving and alliances and so on. I think it was a really cool mix of a strictly cooking reality show (that we’ve seen a ton of already) and that good old “emotional drama” reality show. It’s something new and even tho Robbie winning can seem unfair, in this setting and under these conditions it’s totally fine for me.
I’m so disappointed that Mike didn’t win. He’s clearly autistic and autistic people are almost always going to be at a disadvantage when it comes to social factors. He’s a culinary genious and I hope the world’s best chef scoops him up and gives him the opportunity the salty contestants wouldn’t do. It was pathetic to watch some of them make exuses for Robbie’s food and try to verbally elevate his dishes even though they were clearly worse. It was clear that some of them had decided to choose Robbie even before tasting the food. Very, very weak. I do wonder if things would’ve gone differently if there had been a private voting. It felt like Lana just didn’t have the heart to say to Robbie that she wasn’t going to choose him (and I understand that you don’t want to break your friend’s heart right to his face, but that cost the clear winner his win!). Have the professional food critics be the final judges next time.
I understand the competition involved a lot strategies but it has become really personal until the end which should not be the case as that is still a cooking competition! I feel for Mike so much and in saying that I really hope people saw what he can do and it paves way for far better opportunities for him to have best culinary career he deserves.
Mike should have won. It should be all about the past challenges too when Mike topped should have been considered which was in the brief. Mike deserves more. 🙁
Mike was the clear winner. His dishes were much better than Robbie’s were. This was not a competition on who improved the most. Before the desert they said the desert would steal the show and Mike’s obviously did. I’m disappointed in how this show ended.
I am pissed that Mike didnt win ughhh i hate this competition
Yes he was Lana was he prep chef and voted against him poor show
Honestly I am so disappointed and heartbroken! Clearly mike deserve to win this competition he cooks better and in terms of dealing with others he is not a hypocrite! A very understanding human and he respect others and whatever decisions they have… if I have that 100k I will happily give it to him! I hope one day his dreams come through.
Mike got robbed! This was a cooking show that turned into a popularity contest. I am so disappointed for Mike and in the show. Robbie is a nice guy but his food was not near the fine dining experience that Mike provided.
Mike is the real winner !! The last episode made me pissed. I watch a cooking show not a sympathy or a chairity show. I don’t think how people improve during this show is matter to the final decision. All chefs qualified should be ready for the battles and very talented. I’m overestimated this. I will not watch the next season for sure.
WHHHAAATT?!?! I am so guttered that Mike didn’t win. He clearly deserved it. He put all the hard work to get him to where he is now in his life and was disadvantaged because the “growth” in the show i.e. he wasn’t average from the beginning and turned better at the end like Robbie. Mike was good from the start and consistent throughout the show. I feel so bad for him. I wish him all the best in whatever he does and send him a lucky star so he can get that $100K and more some other way!
That is time I can never get back! Should have been blind judging, never will watch again. SO obvious Mike was just as good of a man, maybe better, he never lost his temper. Mike’s meal was the obvious winner, unbelievable.
Adding to the mass of upset viewers caused I’m pissed they voted for friendships they made instead of being real. Mike was the clear winner. I will not be watching another season if they make one. Lana did Mike dirty after he brought her in to prep.
Will definitely not watch this show again, nice to add some drama, but it’s a cooling show. How could Mike not win??? They killed the show just for try to stir the pot ????
Lo único que me queda claro de la serie
“ pressure cooker “ es que en la cocina gana quien es más llorón y tiene mas amigos
No importa lo bueno o talentoso que seas. Jaja
Lo sé porque trabajo en la industria. ????????????
