8 Best Christmas Short Films
The Gift
In the current busy world, we have all forgotten the true meaning of happiness. People are running behind in wealth and have started to deny the power of love, family, health and nature’s welcoming. The Gift is a wonderful short film that shows how there is a world out there yet to be explored and that wealth alone isn’t enough to be happy.
There Was Once
Another short film that beautifully portrays how we forget our families as we grow up. The story is about a hardworking young woman who gets to relive her childhood to realize what she has been missing. I loved how simple and tidy the short film felt. The actors were limited and each of them gave their best shot. Surely, this is a great short film to watch especially if you’re a busy person who often cuts your parents’ phone calls.
Believe
Ah, as a dog lover, this short film touched my soul. A brilliant short film that shows how when you believe, good things will happen. The dog gets home, the wishing person gets a buddy. What matters at the end of the day is the belief and hope one carries in their heart. Within 3 minutes, they gave a wonderful meaning out so do watch it and share the happiness of believing.
A Little Help
Good God, tears just welled up in my eyes as soon as the short film ended. How beautiful! How ethereal! A Little Help is a wonderful short film that shows the power of helping someone in this loveless world. The twist at the end though, loved it!
The Real Santa
The short film starts off with a bunch of students with supernatural powers sitting in a classroom. Among them sits a red hoodie student who gets mocked for having a long white beard and hair. As a result of getting bullied for being “different”, he sets off on a journey to make people smile. You by now would have known who the tiny guy is but anyway, the ending has an excellent message that kids need to know as they grow up.
The True Spirit of Christmas
Children always get influenced by adults and that’s why it is important that parents always show them the positive aspects of life. Over here, we get to see how a child who is spending time with her father busy on the phone, learning great values from the people around her. The short film ends with a positive scene that delivers the message of Christmas’ true spirit.
A Shorter Letter
A Shorter Letter is a short film explaining what gratitude is and how a humble and content life is everything one needs. This isn’t just a short film for the kids to learn from but is appropriate enough for adults who have failed to notice the real meaning of life. Running behind what we don’t have isn’t necessary when we fail to appreciate what we have.
Home
Home is a very simple short film that doesn’t bring anything new to the plate but reminds us of what is exactly happening around us. If a child loses their happy childhood, it can lead them to traumatic adulthood. That is why parents must ensure that they provide their kids with love and happiness. Home is a nice short film made especially for married couples who often fight in front of their kids.
Winding Up
There are way too many Christmas Short Films, everything with a great moral and wonderful cinematography. To help you save time, this is a list that I’ve put out but I do believe, one or two would ease and please your heart. That said, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year!
