Crash Course in Romance Teaser: Jeon Do-yeon and Jung Kyung-ho in Opposites Attract Rom-Com Drama

Crash Course in Romance Teaser (일타 스캔들) has been released by tvN after introducing us to the main characters in fun posters. The upcoming romantic comedy series is directed by Yoo Je-won and will follow the bittersweet relationship between a banchan shop owner and a top hagwon instructor.

The cast of the upcoming drama includes Jeon Do-yeon as Nam Haeng-sun, Jung Kyung-ho as Choi Chi-yeol, Lee Bong-ryun as Kim Young-joo, Oh Eui-shik as Nam Jae-woo, Shin Jae-ha as Ji Dong-hee, Roh Yoon-seo as Nam Hae-yi, Jang Young-nam as Jang Seo-jin, Kim Sun-young as Su-ah’s mother, Hwang Bo-ra as Dan-ji’s mother, Kang Na-eon as Bang Su-ah and Lee Chae-min as Lee Seon-jae.

Nam Haeng-sun is a former national athlete and a banchan shop owner, who is not swayed by the hardships in life, believes in her own choices and does not make excuses. She has a super positive personality and unlimited stamina. She takes another turn in life and enters the private education field, which is for students preparing for their university entrance exam. Unexpectedly, there she gets involved with Choi Chi-Yeol.

On the other hand, Choi Chi-yeol is a popular and outspoken hagwon instructor, who has outstanding skills and splendid showmanship. He has accumulated wealth and fame as a popular instructor, but, with increasing success, he has become more sensitive, prickly, and indifferent to people. When these opposites meet, sparks will fly as they might comfort each other with their own charms.

Earlier the posters made viewers curious about the titular characters, now with the teaser’s release, we get a clear picture of them. In the video you can see that Jung Kyung-ho’s character is all about his exemplary work and he doesn’t shy off from bragging about it, while Jeon Do-yeon’s character is all about living a fulfilling life but as the story progresses we might be able to see a different side to both of them.

The K-drama series is scheduled to be released on 14th January 2023 on tvN and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 09:10 PM KST.
