Day 2 of MAMA 2022 brought another wave of awards, performances, red-carpet looks and more at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. With Park Bo-gum hosting the event, the evening ushered in a wonderful night filled with screams of the fans and smiling artists who are finally able to feel their love after the lockdown.
Among the many wonderful happening on the night of Day 2, BTS’ J-Hope stole the spotlight by gracing the award show with his presence and lighting up the night for fans. With a spectacular performance that enchanted us all, he received the most glorious award of the night, MAMA PLATINUM awarded to BTS as they moved on to win the most number of daesangs yet.
First of its name, this award was given to artists who have won all four daesangs at the award show at once. And it was during the acceptance speech of this prestigious award when J-Hope decided to make a surprise phone call to his eldest member Jin.
While the artist was unsure if Jin would pick up the call, the latter enthusiastically received the call only to be surprised and ask him, “How can you call me in the middle of your acceptance speech?”
He then greeted his fans and thanked them for loving and supporting them while working so hard in helping them win the award. Assuming that Jin was done, J-Hope almost went ahead to disconnect the call when Jin made sure to let him know that he was not done yet, garnering everyone’s laughter.

He then went ahead to let the fans know to take care of themselves as the weather gets colder and that he will not be around for a while. However, he promises to be back soon and bring new music along with his return. Assuring us all that he will safely return from his military service, he thanks us all.

This heartwarming message brought us all and J-Hope to tears as the artist can be seen holding back the flood that is about to erupt from his eyes. As Jin’s enlistment date nears, fans are working hard to control their tears and send the singer off to fulfil his duties with a heavy heart.
