DP Season 2 To Have Two New Faces- Kim Ji-hyun And Ji Jin-hee, Read Inside!

DP season 1 was released in 2021 and it immediately became a huge hit with its military storyline. DP had a storyline surrounding the Korean military and the focus was on a team of soldiers whose job is to catch the soldiers who desert their posts. The drama starred Jung Hae-in, Son Suk-ku, Koo Kyo-hwan and Kim Sung-kyun in leading roles. It was directed by Han Jun-hee and the screenplay was written by Kim Bo-tong and Han based on a webtoon DP Dog’s Day by Kim.

The story followed the reality behind compulsory military drafting rule in South Korea and what happens in the military camp with the weakest and the most vulnerable. Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan play a major role in the show and in the end, they learn the lesson that they needed to learn. Jung Hae-in plays Private Ahn Joon-ho, Koo Kyu-hwan, Corporal Han Ho-yul while Kim Sung-kyun plays the role of Sergeant first class Park Bum-gu and Son Suk-ku is seen as Captain Im Ji-sup.

The DP Season 2 was announced on December 14, 2021, and on 31st May 2022, the new additions to the cast have been announced on the official Instagram pages on Netflix Korea and The Swoon Netflix. Kim Ji-hyun and Ji Jin-hee are the newest addition to the cast and the news was released with their photo with the rest of the cast. The Instagram caption reads, “This is not a drill! D.P. will be back with season 2 ???? So if you’re looking for a sign to binge the award-winning drama, this is it!The new season will star Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun, Son Suk-ku, and Kim Ji-hyun with a special appearance by Ji Jin-hee. Only on Netflix. ????”
