Audiences have been waiting for Netflix’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Season 2 for quite some time now and its powerful return has left us more excited than ever. Serving as the reboot of the 1983’s show of the same name, this CGI-animated anime-like series developed by Rob David has reimagined all the fan favourite characters in the best ways possible.
The cast features Yuri Lowenthal as the titular character, Adam/He-Man and Tuvar along with Kimberly Brooks as Teela/Teela Na and Eldress/Sorceress, Judy Alice Lee as Krass’tine/Krass/Ram Ma’am, David Kaye as Cringer/Battle Cat, Antony Del Rio as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Roger Craig Smith as Kronis/Trap Jaw, Grey Griffin as Evelyn/Evil-Lyn, Trevor Devall as Beast Man and General Dolos, Fred Tatasciore as King Randor and Baddrah, Tom Kenny as Ork-0 and Benjamin Diskin as Keldor/Skeletor. Some new voices also join this season in interesting new characters that include actors Stephen Fry, Zeno Robinson, Dee Bradley Baker, and Bobcat Goldthwait.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Season 2: For Eternos!
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’s second season picks up right where the first one left off, making us know that the series is a direct continuation of the events from season one with no time passed. Skeletor is, of course, the King of Eternos and now he is on his mission to be a God. Teela, King Randor and Ork-O are hiding as Skeletor raises to power, assuming that the masters of the Universe are dead. Well, much like what the audiences had assumed.
But, with the right hands, it turns out the castle was saved by the end of season one and, now, Adam, Duncan, Krass’tine and Cringer are on Avion. This is where the team meets Stratos for the first time. For people who have watched the original, it is no surprise that the Bird-People feature in this season as they are one of He-Man’s most trusted allies. As the team on Avion and, the trio back at Eternos try to figure out a way to stop Skeletor, our supervillain is on the hunt for the Sigil of Hiss.
However, once the Masters of the Universe discover that Skeletor plans to raise a snake-man army of his own, they set out to stop his evil intentions from turning into actions at any cost. Joined by new allies like Stratos and, Man-E (the thief king Teela used to work for during the initial episodes of season 1), the question of if Skeletor will win for real this time remains hanging like a sword over everyone’s head.
To add more complexities to the character, Krass’tine gets a hint to discover her past, Elderess goes missing and a new villain is introduced in the second season, giving the audience an enjoyable ride to be on.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Season 2: Final Verdict
Overall, the second season of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe retains the tone from season one. It is funny, light and has the optimum depth and dark complexes required to make the show a valuable watch. He-Man is an endearing character, definitely, his story is one that we would follow no matter how many times the series is rebooted. The animation continues to be impressive and, the action-packed sequences are a little old-school but, also remind one of how traditional fight scenes in cartoon characters used to be.
