HBO’s And Just Like That Documentary gives us a closer insight into what went behind to revive the 90s most iconic show Sex and the City, which is based on the bestselling book by Candance Bushnell of the same name. The reboot series is created by Darren Star and developed by Michael Patrick King. The cast of the show includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Sara Ramirez, Karen Pittman, Evan Handler, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Jon Tenney and more, who all appear in the documentary.

And Just Like That season finale aired on February 3, 2022, marking the end of the reboot show. The series did get mixed reviews but, it would be wrong to deny that all the fans of SATC tuned in to watch where the show was taking our characters from the past. In this documentary, we get an overall look at what made the reboot possible, what happened behind the cameras and, how the cast and crew felt about their experience. The documentary is broken down into segments depending on what we are about to see and, has been shot during the making of the show.
And Just Like That Documentary begins with Molly Rogers, the costume designer and consultant taking us through a warehouse stack of clothes from the original show that might make a comeback in the reboot. As fashion has always been an integral part of Sex and the City, it felt right that the documentary started on that note. Following that, we see Sarah Jessica Parker talk about her feelings about being back in her Carrie Bradshaw shoes and reuniting with Cynthia and Kristin for the show.
The documentary takes us through Cynthia Nixon’s directional chair for the episode ‘Diwali’ and, how she was the one to suggest Che be her romantic interest which was initially an idea associated with the character Nya. We see Sarah Jessica Parker go all the way to make every scene feel real and genuine. We have Kristin Davis’ diversity to expand Charlotte’s character and step into new shoes.
