The glamour and popularity BLACKPINK’s Lisa has achieved over the months since the release of ‘LALISA’ and ‘MONEY’ is not unknown to people. The k-pop singer has gone to break and create her mark in the Guinness book of the world and made some historic impact worldwide in terms of the Korean music industry and an artist, in general. Thus, adding another feather to the artist’s cap deems only fit to her never-ending ride to success.
Presently, the matter in question is the artist’s contribution to the k-pop industry in regards to the UK’s Official Singles Chart as a soloist with her song ‘MONEY’.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s Historic Acheivement
It has been nearly two months since the release of Lisa’s solo B-side ‘MONEY’ and it has not stopped climbing the United Kingdom’s Official Charts. This chart is a typical parallel one can draw to the United Kingdom’s version of the United States Billboards charts. ‘MONEY’ entered the Official Singles Chart at No. 81 earlier this month and has steadily risen ever since. By rising on the charts consecutively for four weeks, it has achieved a higher rank every week.
As per the latest records, for the week ranging from October 29 to November 4, Lisa’s ‘MONEY’ has risen to No.46 on the Official Singles Chart marking a rise in up to eight spots from last week, when it was marked at No. 54.

Due to this rising number, Lisa is now regarded as the first female K-pop solo artist ever to chart a song and spend four weeks consecutively on the Official Singles Chart. Prior to this the only K-pop artist in history to chart a song for longer is PSY. The 2013 hit ‘Gentleman‘ by PSY achieved the feat of spending 19 weeks on the charts which is some eight years from now.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK’s Lisa for achieving another major feat in her career!
