Andy Serkis Promises Mind-Blowing PG-13 Violence in Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Will the PG-13 rating of Vemon: Let There Be Carnage hold back the movie?

The PG-13 rating of Venom has always been a bother for the audience excepting the storyline of this dark Marvel character will not be fulfilled with satisfaction. However, the 2018 movie proved the audience wrong and we hope the next movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage also follows the lead.

What does the director have to say about Venom: Let There Be Carnage?

Director Andy Serkis is absolutely fine with keeping the movie rating PG-13 as he expects a wide range of audiences to watch this legendary character unfold his story. Yet, he does not think there is much to miss even if the movie is PG-13.

The director’s word during IGN’s Instagram Live stated:

“You could go down an R-rated adult version of this. Of course, you could. You could have done that with the last film. But we wanted to reach a big audience with this and… there are several rules you have to abide by. However, having said that, I think we have pushed to the very limits [with] the danger and darkness and the threat and the menace of Carnage.”

“Just because you don’t see so much gore — perhaps there’s not so much blood or… seeing heads being bitten off — you can still suggest that. The suggestion, leaving it to the audience’s imagination, can be just as powerful. I think that’s just what we managed to do. It’s certainly not shying away from the darkness.”

Presently, the MPAA has given it a PG-13 rating for “intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material, and suggestive references,”, even though an R-rating was on the follow-up.

When will Venom: Let There Be Carnage release?

The film has faced a lot of delays due to the pandemic. Recent reports state that October 1st 2021 still remains the present date of release for the movie.
