37th Japan Gold Disc Awards 2023 Winners List: BTS, SEVENTEEN, IVE and More

On March 9, 2023, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) officially announced and revealed the 37th Japan Gold Disc Awards 2023 Winners, presenting both Asian and Western artists alike with accolades for their contribution to the field of music. The list of winners was dominated by great names from K-pop and J-pop industries.

K-pop groups like BTS, SEVENTEEN, IVE, Kep1er, VERIVERY, &TEAM and more, the Japanese idol boy band Snow Man, and even western artists like Taylor Swift, The Beatles, Avril Lavigne, and Norah Jones won big. Movie and animation soundtracks also made it to the list of victors for the day. Thereafter, song downloads and streams were also taken into account for different categories of awards. Additionally, various solo artists also took away the dazzling green-golden trophy.

The Japanese edition of the Gold Disc Awards marked its 37th anniversary with this ceremony ever since its establishment in 1987. Following the annual cycle, the awards show has celebrated the hard work of the artists based on an objective selection criteria that records “the net sales of CDs, videos, etc. (total shipments minus the number of returns), music distribution sales, and streaming playback performance”.
