Korean award shows are infamously known for keeping things monochromatic, and following the threads of the same old tradition, the 2023 MAMA Awards Day 1 Red Carpet looks maintained the suave aesthetics, as Asian artists galore from the music field turned up in black-and-white, with occasional hints of other colours spicing up the roster. Even despite the familiar choice of the sober fashionable theme, artists like Jeon Somi, Go Min-si, Lee Junho, and members of Korean or Japanese groups such as ENHYPEN, TVXQ, Kep1er and others owned the evening with their handsome twists on colours otherwise deemed simple and basic.
The 2023 MAMA Awards Red Carpet event was hosted by Lee Hye-sung, RalRal and Jung Hanhae, who too stood out among some of the memorable presences in the fancy gathering at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on November 28, at 4 PM KST. Chapter 2 of the red carpet will be held on November 29 at the same time, and will be live-streamed on Mnet and KCON YouTube channels. Additionally, SEVENTEEN members also showed up to the main ceremony later (despite being in the Day 2 lineup), so they missed the Day 1 red carpet event.
